I trimmed Cooper's toe nails a couple of weeks ago. I'm always very careful not to cut too short. This is the second time I cut a little short in his whole life. I feel bad about it but I have to tell you, what I did wasn't as bad as what you see here in the picture.
When I trimmed one of his nails, he yipped. There wasn't any blood but you could tell it had been cut too short. He quickly forgot about the problem after I was done cutting the remaining nails.
THEN... when Jesse got home, Cooper went outside with him. He ran the back yard at top speed as he does every day. It's so funny to watch him. Very cute, until he came in bleeding from that toe nail. He must have dug in too much with that soft spot on his nail causing it to bleed.
I cleaned it up as much as I could then tried to get it to stop bleeding. It didn't take long. He was fine within a few minutes, and that night he did a bit of his own first aid, licking his foot quite a bit. He's a good care taker. He got it to heal up quickly. It's all better now.
