Upon the delivery of the second relic to East Bridgewater, the relic was uncovered and we were allowed to touch this one and take pictures with it.
The original crew who escorted the relic from NY to the RI/MA boarder where we were waiting were quite a collection of great men.
The presidents of some of the groups who were involved in this escort were included in one of the pictures.
Our group had our turn in front of the camera, being the flag bearers, but I can't find the picture that was taken of our group.
I was able to put Cooper on the truck for a picture.
I touched the relic and got some dirt and rust on my hand, then wiped it on my vest and Cooper’s vest so I could carry that event with us.
It’s my way to honor those who died that day.
