Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

July 14 - Part 2 - Stranded with the Giants

We finally got going after a while.  We wanted to make sure of a good place to land for the night.  We had just gotten back out onto route 101 when Jesse's bike really started acting up.  I looked on my GPS to try to find someplace better than the middle of nowhere to pull over.  We found an RV park after pulling back into "The Avenue Of The Giants".

We pulled in there where Dean, the owner, offered everything he had to help us.  He rented us a camp site in the RV park for $20 and offered his phone, yellow pages, tools, what ever he had was made accessible to us.  What ever we needed.  He was SO very helpful and willing.

Cooper and I rode 1.5 mile down the road to buy dinner from a small diner.  We came back and helped Jesse set up our tent after we ate.  Jesse worked on his bike trying to figure out what was wrong.  Cooper got to meet all the other dogs in the park as they walked by.  We made friends with Sandy and Barbara who came to meet "The Famous Cooper" (that's what they called him).  I got to tell some great stories about Cooper to them. They also bought patches.  (thanks ladies, and Chuck too)

It was a chilly night, so we covered Cooper with a t-shirt when he curled up.  He seemed to appreciate it.

130 Miles
