Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

July 22 - Part 2 - Crater Lake in Oregon

We rode for a while passing more and more snow.  Cooper was awake and alert for a while with the excitement of playing in the snow.  When we rode on the temperature was chilly but refreshing to breathe deeply.  Cooper sniffed the air endlessly as I know I would have too if I was a dog.

The scenery was stunning.  There was no way to take it all in and as I view the pictures I have to say, pictures don't do it justice.  What a beautiful place to be.  There was wild life there just trying to conduct their day as were we.  We saw deer as close to us as perhaps 100 feet.  Cooper watched them cross the road without a noise.  I guess you could say he was speechless.

We had Cooper pose at one of the most beautiful sights we could see.  Usually we don't have to tie him because he always stays were he's told to stay, but this time he was near a ledge.  Jesse tied him to the tree roots.  NEVER take chances you can't recover from if something goes wrong.  Cooper is safe and I got a beautiful picture of him in front of Crater Lake.
