We ride for about 100 miles then Lisa needs gas. It's a good distance for a rest stop because we go just short of two hours before we stop.
During this trip we had quite a bit of hot weather, so stopping was really important for Cooper. Lisa and I had hydration packs that supplied us with two liters of water to drink while riding, but Cooper needed to stop to drink from a bowl.
He had an ice pack in his crate so the heat wasn't as hard on him as it was on us, but he still needed frequent drinks.
It worked perfectly.
