Cooper working with Mom writing another blog entry |
According to Jesse Hawk, Cooper's father, Cooper was last seen this morning working with his mother, Paula Jean, on their latest blog entry. "I was busy painting the house and I turned around and they were both gone." Reported Mr. Hawk.
Upon further investigation conducted by a search party and local law enforcement, it was found that when calling Cooper's name, a short haired white dog jumped down from Mr. Hawk's old motorcycle and came in answer to the call. This dog had no collar on but seems to insist he's Cooper.
Who is that dog? |
Mr. Hawk suspects this dog to be an im-paw-ster, with an interest in motorcycles. He comments, "Maybe this dog heard about 'Cooper the motorcycle dog' and just wants to go for a ride so he's pretending to be Cooper."
The im-paw-ster dog barks at Mr. Hawk in an insistent way. He seems to be trying to tell him something. Unable to understand dog language, an interpreter had to be called in.
This is Miss Gabrielle, a good friend of Cooper's who is willing to act as interpreter. She has a history in canine relations and considers herself to be 'all that' and more.
Miss Gabrielle coming to help |
"According to this dog," Miss Gabrielle states, "the events leading up to the scene in question, were as follows..."
Miss Gabrielle begins. "Cooper's mom decided that this would be the perfect day to cut his hair. With the sun shining and a nice gentle 64* breeze blowing she began to cut his hair."
She goes on. "Cooper sat still and was very well behaved while they listened to music playing on the radio in another yard in their neighborhood."
Miss Gabrielle stopped her interpretation to scratch an itch, then went on in saying, "This was an enjoyable experience for both Cooper and his mom. It felt good to be outside on a beautiful spring day."
"She talked to him and hummed favorite songs while cutting away all the snarls in his long hair that had been forming over the past few weeks since his hair had really begun to tangle."
Miss Gabrielle adds her own comment here, "I know that Cooper would rather get a hair cut than be brushed out when his hair is long. This is why he gets his hair cut with scissors. Clippers can't make it through all that thick hair without getting stuck. I can't say that I blame him. I've seen it done. It doesn't look good."
Her interpretation continues, "So they enjoyed a very peaceful and uninterrupted couple of hours enjoying the weather."
"Cooper began to feel lighter and cooler the more his heavy winter coat had been cut away and deposited in the trash bucket near by."
"When Cooper's mom cut the hair under his chin and neck, she was unable to catch the hair before it fell to the ground. This is what created the alarming mess."
"When his neck was done, it was time to do the delicate work of trimming around his face. Careful not to get too close to the eyes or lips. Close attention with no distractions is very important here."
"So you see?" Miss Gabrielle concludes. "This IS Cooper. He's had his spring hair cut. He no longer looks like he's put on a few pounds. He's trim and ready for the spring!"
When Miss Gabrielle finished telling the story of Cooper's day, Cooper smiled as if to say, "See? It's REALLY ME!"
Cooper's dad finally took a close look. He agreed it could only be him. The mystery is solved!
Just then Cooper's mom came around the house with a rake. She asked what was going on. When she was informed of all the happenings, she just shook her head. "All this in just the time it takes to go get a rake to clean up Cooper's hair? Unbelievable! How come you didn't tell them Cooper?"
Have you ever seen a dog roll his eyes?
