Cooper's New Bed

Did you read yesterday?  If you did, you were expecting to see what we got for Cooper when we got our new big bed. 

What do you think? Look as he makes his bed the way he likes it.

 He loved it.  The first night he slept all night in it.  This is a great thing for me and Jesse.  We usually have to share the bed and blanks with Cooper.  He takes up a LOT of space and keeps waking us up all night.  

Our first night with Cooper's new bed was WONDERFULLY sleepy.

I love my free stuff.  I have some of the greatest quality FREE stuff in my house.  HaHa.  Seriously though.  Look how much Cooper likes our new bed.  This big beautiful solid wood bed makes our room look small and Cooper looks tiny.

Dog Top Computer

Sometimes when Cooper REALLY wants to be on my lap, not even the computer can make him want to move.  I can set the computer right on him and type away.  He doesn't move.  It's really kind of funny.  Who knows what goes through his mind sometimes?

Dog CPR

I feel this is valuable.  I am a cpr and first aid instructor, but had no real idea how to do cpr on a dog, or even where to find a pulse.

After watching this video, I feel like a more informed dog owner.  Please watch this periodically.  The more you refresh your memory, the better it will come back to you should you ever need it.

Dog Food Store

We had to go to the store to get cat food and dog food.  Some days Cooper is the only dog there... 

And some days it's like a puppy party.  

When Cooper meets other dogs, he really needs to be off leash.  I'm finding now that if both dogs are on leash and they twist together, Cooper gets very nervous and even bares his teeth.  I think it's happened one too many times.

He had a great time with all the puppies.  He was the old man of the group except one big proud looking Great Dane who was walking around the store.  I wish I had gotten a picture of her.  She was HUGE next to all the other dogs there.  

It was a nice day for Cooper.

Wanna Come In

This is what my back door looked like one day when everyone wanted to come in at the same time.

I'm so glad they all share space fairly well.

Lucky Dawg Ride

You know how Cooper and I love our benefit rides.  We participated in a ride here to raise money to send packages to our troops.  

My friend Joyce rode near us that day.  You can see her in front of us...

Cooper On Top

I know it's goofy, but sometimes Cooper just wants to be up high.

I don't remember who put Cooper up on Shannon and David's car, but I'm fairly sure it was Cooper's idea.

NEADS Ride

This ride was to benefit and help fund getting service dogs for our military veterans. 

 What better cause for us to ride.

It was a police escorted ride. 

Cooper wasn't the only dog there this time.  There was another service dog that was trained by this organization.  We all sat at the same table.

Cooper got his own chair where he got to lay against his Auntie Jess.  He was very well behaved, as always.

Coopercorn

My oldest daughter loves unicorns.

The Day We Met Lisa

I met Lisa, Buffy's mom during the Women On Wheels® Ride In in August of 2010.  She talked to me about her dog who she wanted to teach to ride.  I offered to help her.  We exchanged phone numbers, etc. She took these pictures of my 3 year old Cooper.  

He seems so young and shy.  I remember when he used to get like that.  You don't realize the changes that take place until you look back.
