Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Monti Run Video

Here is the video from the 5th Annual Jared Monti Ride.(click)  It was an honor to fly flags after the family members who rode. You can easily see me and Cooper directly in front of the camera.  See how Cooper pays attention to the bikes as they move out?  It’s really kind of cool that he gets the order in which things are going to happen.

Most of the riders who went out before those of us who flew flags were ‘road guards’.  Their job is to block the intersections so cars don’t cut into the pack of bikes, causing dangerous chaos.  We have to stay together because the ride is escorted and to get split us means the followers don’t know the route.

Monti Run 2015

Paul Monti on Right

Lee Brice’s song “I Drive Your Truck” was inspired and written about Paul Monti, Jared’s father.
Patriot Riders pose with Jared Monti's truck

This is a ride to honor Jared Monti, our local hero and Medal of Honor Recipient.

Paul Monti was heard on an interview talking about how he continues to drive his son Jared’s truck to feel closer to him.

Paul brings the truck to this ride every year.

We had the honor of flying flags from our bikes right behind the family members and a cousin who was riding Jared's motorcycle in this ride.

We, Patriot Riders of America MA Chapter 5, are such a proud patriotic group.

Cooper is very familiar with this kind of day.

He gets excited when he sees this many bikes.

Tomorrow's post will be a video.  You'll get to see Cooper really well.

Special Olympics Bike

One of the rides we went on was to benefit Special Olympics.

They had the BEST bike painted with pictures of the olympians.

It was great to see such a tribute bike.

Monti Ride '14

While looking for events that I forgot to blog about I came across last year’s Monti Run.

It’s amazing to me how I can lose a story for a whole year.

With a dog like Cooper, it’s hard to keep all he does organized.

I don’t even try to get them all into the blog in order of how they occurred.

So here are some of the best pictures of last year.

We didn’t fly flags at this event, and there were far fewer members in our group.

But everyone knows Cooper so we had no shortage of people around us wanting to talk.

Life is just not lonely when Cooper is there.

Not even if it’s just me and him enjoying a quiet time at home.

Sister Snuggles

Sometimes people sit still long enough to get a good snuggle in.

My daughter Shannon came over and Cooper came to her as soon as she sat down.

He looked at her as if to say, “PLEASE”…

She said he could get up in her lap so he did,

and LOVED HER like THIS.

Laconia '15

Every year we go to bike week in Laconia.

I like to walk the vender row.  I usually carry Cooper because he gets stepped on if I don’t.  It’s very stressful for him.

Cooper only cares about checking out the other dogs.

Most of the time there are too many people for him to get close enough to them, but when we get away from the crowds…

La Salette

We went to see who was hanging around at La Salette, a popular outdoor venue where a lot of bikers hang out and listen to music.

Right after we got there we were found by one of the regulars.

He’s so cute and very friendly.

I don’t remember his name, but who needs a name with this kind of cuteness?

Jenny

In my neighborhood there are plenty of dogs being walked.

Most are on leash, and all are with a human.

Cooper getting attention from Jenny's Daddy, Scott.

Some of the doggy friends come visit Cooper.

Cooper loves it.

This is Jenny.

She’s an old girl who actually needs a break while they are out walking.

So they stop at my house and Jenny gets a drink of water and a rest.

We all enjoy our visits.
