HairSocks are my own patented invention born out of necessity. In the fall of 2003 I got my motorcycle license. I hadn't really considered the problem of having long hair as it related to my new hobby. I just wanted to ride my motorcycle.
After a few weeks of trying different methods that other bikers had tried, I was faced with only one option I hadn't tried yet... cutting all my hair off. No... I wanted to keep my hair long. What's more, I wanted to wear it down as I usually did. I didn't want to have to wear a braid all day if I rode my bike to work. Nor did I want to have to fuss with it much.
I began toying with the idea of putting something together that would be easy to put on and would keep my hair protected from tangles. My first attempt was a good one. Only a couple more adjustments and I had something that needed a name! I called them HairSocks. You can't even look that word up in the dictionary yet, but some day! Some day it will be in every home for someone who has long hair. As of this writing it is in 13 states. Men and women wear them for a multitude of reasons from motorcycling, to boating, to mechanics, to operating rooms, to food prep and service uniforms, just to name the obvious.
Manufactured by my own family, self included, we are a family invested in this invention. We believe in it and those of us with long hair use them because because they work! I personally NEVER ride without it. It's too easy and effective not to wear a HairSocks while on the motorcycle. They are made for your length hair. They come in many colors and designs. They are comfortable and THEY WORK! Check them out! HairSocks

Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA this summer. We attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! Enjoy them while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.
