Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Storm - Rain Video

Check out the short video of the rain that came with that storm.

What a wealth of different experiences.  The smell… what it felt like… spending that time with all the others.  It was awesome.

Storm - Rain

The rain really started coming down for a while.

We had a great time sitting under a lean to and watching the rain while chatting with the others.

Cooper was really well behaved and curious about all the smells coming our way.

What a great time we had!

Storm - With Butch

There was a good ride one day that I didn’t want to miss.

We could tell there wouldn’t be rain during the ride but we wouldn’t get home before the rain started.

So we stayed with a bunch of other people who planned to wait for the rain to pass.

Cooper found his storm partner and stayed there for most of the storm.

Ride For Kids - Wild Hogs

One of the guys we rode with that day had a “Wild Hogs” patch on his back.

Who wouldnt’ want to take a picture with that patch?

Ride For Kids - Pics By Other People

Some great pictures taken this day.

I found all of these on Face Book.

A lot of people take pictures of Cooper and I find them everywhere.

I know there are a lot more out there that I’ve never seen.

Ride For Kids - Bikes

This day we went on a ride to raise money for pediatric brain tumors research.

Some of the patients were there and they were on the bikes at the beginning of the ride.

Some of the bikes had side cars for the kids less able to sit safely on the bikes.

We had such a good day.

Minion Piniata

Cooper had been watching the activities until I got my phone out to take a picture.

Then he looks and poses.

I guess his training is to smile for the camera.

I trained him too well I guess.

Wedding

It’s an outdoor wedding…

Farmer style…

Cooper’s only dilemma is…

“Why can’t I pee on these hay bales?”

Penelope

I stopped at my friend’s house for a short time.

While I was on their front porch talking I left Cooper in my truck.

It’s never a good idea for Cooper to get out of the car at their house because they have a pea hen… a female peacock named Penelope.

She is very defensive of her property and doesn’t like Cooper at all.

I considered closing the windows because the pea hen could have jumped into the window of the truck.

But she was happy to circle the truck to make sure he couldn’t get out.

He was smart not to bark at her.

Plympton Cycles

We went to our favorite bike place the other day to have a tire replaced on our friend’s bike.

Cooper is fairly well known there and is very well behaved while we’re there.

I can never resist to take pictures to show you things he experiences in his little life.

Bonnie

This is Bonnie, the dog I had before Cooper.  She was the dog my kids grew up with.  She was our perfect family dog, just like so many people have had in their own families.

Bonnie was our perfect family dog who loved and tolerated all the kids and their friends that passed though our home while Bonnie watched over and protected her family.

We had her every single day of her life.  We had her mother so she was born to in our family and she died in our family.  It took me 6 years to get another dog.  Cooper has done a wonderful job at filling Bonnies paw prints.

I only wish they could have met, played, learned from one another.  I wonder if they would have loved one another as I love them both.

Train Video

Cooper used to bark like a lunatic when the train went by.  He didn’t really like the ding ding ding of the railroad crossing signal either.

Then one day it just became just one of those things that was no big deal to him.  Here you can see him as calm as can be as the train passes by.

Ebbie

When we go to take care of Andy 3 days a week, Cooper patiently and quietly lays in a chair most of the time.

One day the neighbor John came over to spend a few hours while his house was being shown by the realtors.  So I got to chat with John, and Cooper got to get acquainted with Ebbie.

She is a really well behaved dog and perfect size for Cooper to play with.  I wish they could see each other more often.

With Shannon and Emma

At some of the rides and events we go to Cooper is most happy to just hang out with people who sit still.

This is a perfect example.  Cooper got to stay close to my daughter and grand daughter rather than somewhere close by with me while I stood around talking to people like I usually do.

Labor Day Cook Out

On Labor Day we went to a cook out at a friend’s house.

It was nice to hang out with friends we don’t see often.

Cooper knows all his people very well.

How many dogs do you know who can go anywhere and there is always someone who knows who he is.

Welcome Home Alex

Alex went away to work for about 3 weeks.

When he got home Cooper gave him a big fluffy “Welcome Home”.

Alex really enjoyed being welcomed as you can tell.

They’re good buddies.
