Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Nathan Hale Donation - Lets Ride!

Cooper knows the ropes.

He gets on the bike and sits on his seat so I can buckle him in.

Then he waits while I put my helmet on, buckle it and then start the bike.

He’s no stranger to getting out into traffic either.

You may be able to tell, he’s looking at the car that stopped to let us out.  So smart!

Nathan Hale Donation - Well Behaved Boy

Cooper is so well behaved when we’re on events like this.

He stayed on the bike while I wasn’t near him.

Even with all the people moving around…

And pictures being taken…

He just stays on the bike and behaves like the perfect dog.

Nathan Hale Donation - Hanging Out Chatting

After the donations were loaded into the truck...

...we were able to hang around and talk for a while.

Cooper loves this part.

He’s very social and loves the feeling of being included in the chatting.

He pays attention if people are near.

I think he pays most attention to whom ever he can get eye contact from so he can entice him to come pet him.

Smart boy with some serious people skills.

Nathan Hale Donation - Helping Wedgie

Wedgie drove the truck with the donations in it so we could ride our motorcycles.

When we got there we had to pull the bags out of the back of the truck.

That’s where Cooper likes to help.  He loves getting into the truck and be where the action is.

Nathan Hale Donation - Patriot Riders of America MA Chapter 5

Me and Cooper with founder Christopher Hart
On a recent VERY beautiful day, we went to donate to a foundation called the “Nathan Hale Foundation”.

My group, the Patriot Riders of America, MA Chapter 5 has been collecting clothes and blankets for a couple years now.

The Nathan Hale Foundation helps veterans with clothes, food and rides to appointments among other things.

They will help in any way they can to aid a veteran.

It was nice to get a good group shot of us with the founder of Nathan Hale.

Staying Warm In Alex's Room

On a chilly day after I cut Cooper’s hair I forgot to put a shirt on him before I left for work.  My house is cold so we keep the bedrooms warm but not the whole house.

Alex noticed he was in the chilly room and though he didn’t seem cold Alex had Cooper go to his room with him to keep him warmer.  A well cared for boy is what we have right here.

Nibble On Mama's Blanket

Cooper has this thing with a blanket I have on my bed.  It’s my favorite too for the coldest nights.

Cooper doesn’t like to sleep under it though… He likes to nibble it.  Not to put holes in it.  He has done absolutely no damage to this blanket but he will nibble it for 20 minutes before he’s done.  He loves it and he’s too cute for me to want to stop him.

Can I Sit With You?

This is Cooper trying to lay down with Warren when I wasn’t in the room.

Look at the look on his face.  He looks tired and seems to be saying PLEASE???

Waiting

I had two doctors appointments an hour apart the other day.  Cooper was happy to be in for the long hall.  He just hung out next to me on the chair and relaxed till my name was called.

The funny thing is that when the nurse came to the door to call for the next patient, he lifted his head.  When it wasn’t my name called he laid his head back down.

He just knows everything about normal life for humans.

Hates This Outfit

Cutting Cooper’s hair during the winter has left me with the responsibility of keeping him warm on the really cold days.

When temps dip into the 30s it’s harder to keep the house warm so While I’m at work I keep him dressed so he won’t get cold.  When I’m home I can keep throwing a light blanket over him as he lays with me.

THIS outfit is NOT a favorite.  He rolls around and tries to rub it off.  I tried to make him allow it but when I took it off he wanted NOTHING to do with it.  Usually if he likes it he will go back to it and roll on it and play with it and will allow and even help me to put it back on him. NOPE… Not this time.

Loving Our Roommates

Life is good when you love the guys you live with.

It’s even better when they love you back.

Can’t beat this kind of home life.

Cool Hat

Check out how cool Cooper looks in this hat.

Cooper is such a goof that he seems to like to pose when people dress him up.

This hat looks awesome on his though.

It sits on his head perfectly.

My Hippie dog.

Winter Hair Cut

I know it’s a bad time of the year to take all Cooper’s hair off, but the snarling was ridiculous.

I missed his late summer hair cut so his hair was way too long already for this time of the year.

He always moves better when he doesn’t have all that hair.

It was at the point where he didn’t want to jump up on the bed any more with all that hair.

He doesn’t really like to wear clothes, but he was miserable with all that hair.

To wait till April to cut his hair would have been torture for him.

He’s much happier with short hair, so on the coldest days he wears a shirt to keep him warm.

Deep Snow 2018

Our first big snow of the season was a good one.  Look at the path going down the stairs.  The snow was as deep as Cooper’s back all the way down the steps.

Once he got to the bottom he had to figure out how and where to pee in deep snow like this.  He was LOVING IT!  He loves to roll in the snow.  The deeper the better.

Winter Evening Snuggles

There is nothing better than laying in bed at the end of a long winter day with THIS guy.

He’s the best snuggler, with the cutest face and the best love to give.  My best boy.
