Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Love This Blankie

Cooper is so funny when he gets to snuggle with a new blanket that he likes.

You almost can't get him to leave it.

He would rather stay in one comfy spot than to give up the new blankie.

Emma Turns 4

My grand daughter Emma turned 4!  Big day!

In my family people get a special birthday dinner. Emma got to go out to eat with her mother, father, brother, me and Cooper.

Of course Cooper remembers his service dog manners and keeps his head under the table remains quiet.

When we get out to the car after the meal he gets to have a great treat from the table.

Scene Of The Accident

This is the intersection where we were in the car accident in October.
Listen to how nervous Cooper is going through it almost 4 months later.

No One Would Believe Me

This is one of my favorite stories to tell.  If I didn't have the video to prove it, no one would believe me.

I dropped the gas cap at the gas station and it rolled under the truck.  I would have had to move the truck to get it, but Cooper went to get it for me.  He's such a good dog.

Say "Mama"

Here's a happy boy.  He LOVES to be scratched, especially right in front of his tail.

Sometimes when I scratch him just right he'll say "Mama".  Of course he's not saying Mama for me, it really means, "I love having my butt scratched!"

Riding When It's Chilly

Cooper is happy to hang out on the bike and wait till we're ready to go.

As soon as we start acting like we're getting ready, he just knows.

He understands the routine and knows to get on his own seat and wait for his seat belt.

He's ready to go before I am.

Chatting

One of Cooper's favorite things to do is socialize.

If we could do this every day he would love his life more than he does now.

He likes to get into the center of the group if he can.

Sometimes the group forms around him so he's not all alone.

I'm always close by.  He knows I'm never going to leave him out.

Supporting The RI Chapter 3

Before or after we're all done eating, when there is no food on the table, Cooper is allowed to put his face on the table.

He knows the difference and he's very good about it.

Not to mention he's so so so CUTE!!!

Supporting The RI Chapter 2

After the ride we gather in a hall for a meal and some music.

Cooper will wait patiently on a chair if I don't want to bring him with me to get something to eat.

Or he will nap.  He doesn't sleep on the bike so napping is often preferred.

Supporting the RI Chapter 1

One of our sister chapters of my motorcycle group is in RI.  We frequently support their events.

Cooper is waving in this picture.  I wish it was video.

California Cops

We rode our motorcycle from Massachusetts to California in the summer of 2011.

There was a great event we attended.  I talked the police to stage a 'Scolding' for me to take pictures of.  Some of the cops couldn't help but laugh.

Brushed His Hair

Did you see yesterday's blog post?

He'll yell at me till I remember to give him a treat. His hair looks so funny after I brush out all his snarls.

Brushed His Hair

Every so often I have to brush out Cooper's mop top.

It takes a while so I don't always do it all in one day.

I like to give him a break for a couple days before I begin again.

It's so soft when it's all brushed out.

What comes next is a treat.

He never lets me forget the treat.

Figure it out

My phone was on the floor.

Cooper became interested in it.

I turned the camera on with my watch.

The more pictures I took, the more interested he got.

He looked up at me when he realized it was probably me making my phone do things.

Then he would paw at it and make it spin on the floor.

How cute!  I love when he tries to figure things out.

Someone Wants To Go Out

Someone just wants to go out.  Look how insistent he can be.

He wasn't taking no for an answer.  I translate this to, "Get up and let me out?"

Cooper Wants His Own Car

Cooper found a great car that was just his size.  What do you think?

Do you think he should get his own car?

NO!  There would be no living with him if he got his own car!  Honestly... he would be on it all the time.  He loves cars and motorcycles.  He would sleep on the seat.

Good Thing He's Short

This is a story I told before and it's worth telling again because I came across this video.

The story is, I'm a klutz and dropped the gas cap under the truck when I was getting gas.  So I got my phone out and recorded him as I sent him under the truck to get the gas cap.
He did it happily!  What a good boy!!!

Curves!

I know this isn't a picture of Cooper.  I'm posting it to show my gps when we were riding from Idaho to Montana.  See all those turns?  There was a sign that said "Curves Next 99 Miles".  We rode along the side of the Columbia River.  Cooper's nose was in the air the whole time.  Amazing!

Cooper's Sister

Cooper has been the only animal to live with me except for our cat Gabrielle.

She was 17 when she passed a few years ago.  They were quite a pair.

Gabrielle was the boss.  Cooper was very good to her till the very end.

Cool Trike

Yup... There's Cooper.

Cool dude as always.

You really never know where he's going to  pose.

Guilty Boy

Cooper would NEVER think of doing this when someone is home.

But when he's home alone and the trash hasn't been put away, he will do this every time.

Then when I get home from work, rather than great me at the door, all excited... He'll get on the stairs and wait to be scolded.
His guilt is written all over his face.

Some Of The Best Photographers

I love this picture of me and Cooper.  Look how his hair is flying.

I know some of the best photographers.  When they take pictures of me and Cooper, the pictures always end off here for you to see.

My Heart

This picture shows the partnership between me and my best boy.

My Partner.  My Pal.
My Heart.

Cooper's Patch

Cooper's patch.

We've sold them all over the united states.
I wear mine!

Announcing His Arrival

There is seldom a chance that no one will know when Cooper has pulled into the parking lot,
or is coming down the street in a parade.

He BARKS as an announcement as if he thinks the whole event is in his honor.

Public Toilet

This picture makes me laugh.  The old joke about a fire hydrant being a public toilet for dogs.

What must a dog do if it's out of service?!?!?

Helping With My Banking

Cooper is always willing to help in any way he can.

This is his way of helping me with my banking.

To be honest... it's more like taking the chance to get attention from someone he really likes who happens to work at the bank.

She is a big fan of Cooper's.

So much so that she took this picture and sent it to me.

We've Got The Itch

It's been over 3 months now since we have been on the bike.

I have a broken foot due to a car accident.

Cooper only wants to ride if I do.

WE CAN'T WAIT till spring!
