Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Funeral

Sometimes what we do isn’t pleasant, but it’s important.

We had to attend a funeral for one of the founding members of our motorcycle group.

A few bikers came from all over.  It took us over an hour and a half to get there.

Cooper was the perfect boy.  He laid across my lap with his head on my friends knee, and stayed there the whole time.

Cooper, Cooper and Baby

We went to the Plymouth Waterfront to see if a friend was there.

We didn’t find the friend we were looking for…

But we found these friends.

I got to talk to humans,

And Cooper got to talk to dogs.  What a great afternoon!

And what are the chances there is another Cooper?!?

Kids Lighting The Fire

My grand kids are learning how to light a camp fire while Cooper supervises.

The oldest one is the one with the lighter.

The other two will light it some day, but not yet.

Mansfield Field Of Honor video

On they day we were assembling the Mansfield Field Of Honor, there were photographers all over the place.  One person was taking video for the local cable tv.  He had given me his business card and a couple weeks ago I emailed him to ask for the video he took since I’m not local to Mansfield.  He sent me this link.

Now for the first time I’m able to see the kids putting the flags together before they are brought to us to put up in the field.  What a treat this is for me.  You can see the bikers and other volunteers starting at 6 minutes 30 seconds.  After that is a little ceremony we had there.  It was a really nice day.

Egypt

Cooper never fails to amuse me… but this one takes the cake.

We were sitting out by a fire in the back yard, and my friend put his phone on the picnic table to charge.  Cooper must have stepped on it or something, and in doing so, he called Egypt.

Our Bikes on Flag Day

We have a Meet & Greet every Tuesday night at a local place called the “Star Drive-In”

One of the Tuesday’s this month was the 14th.

The 14th is Flag Day.

So we took the opportunity to fly our flags from our bikes.

We parked together all along the parking lot.

I love to see the flags flying.

Cooper seems to be a little more excited when we’ve got the flags flying behind the bikes.

I’m not sure what it means to him, but it makes him bark a bit.

Peeking Under

How Cute is this?  Cooper was very quiet.

I wondered what he was doing with his head under the banner that hung from the table at our meet and greet.

Then I noticed it.

There is a puppy over there by that truck.

He’s eating ice cream.

I wonder if Cooper wants the puppy…

Or the ice cream.

Cooper And Lizzie Play

Cooper and Lizzie are friends who see each other a few times a year.

They recognize each other now.

Lizzie is a good dog who tolerates Cooper for a little while.

Then puts him in his place when he gets too close.

I love to watch them play.

Hi Mama

Cooper was having a good night.

He had freedom to roam because I hooked two leashes together.

He was so funny when he noticed I was watching him.

He started barking at me.

So cute!  I wonder if dogs can get embarrassed.

Sniffing At The Meet And Greet

Cooper sometimes gets on his own agenda at our meet and greet on Tuesday nights.

It’s all about the nose with him sometimes.

Shopping

If you read yesterday’s blog, you might think this is a really good day for Cooper.

We met a dog outside, then we met this one inside.

He gets so excited when he meets other dogs.

I always wonder if he would like to have a friend to play with every day.  One that he knows well.

Pulled Up And Met A Pup

We went shopping on the bikes.

When we got to the parking lot there was a dog.

Cooper spotted it before anyone and announced us by barking like a lunatic.

Car Wash

This is the first time Cooper did well in the car wash.  He has never been happy about all the scary noises from the water beating on the car.

I’m so glad he did so much better this time.  How cute is it that he cared more about getting a drink than the car wash…

Blimp

I’m not sure you can see this but up in the sky there is a blimp.

Cooper noticed it too.

Why would a dog look up and watch a blimp???
