Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

This Chair SPINS!

Cooper came to work with me on the first day back to school… teacher set up day.  There were no students, we just had to set up the classroom.

Cooper wasn’t sure where to be so I gave him a chair to hang out on.  This chair swiveled, so when he jumped up it would spin.  He was so cute looking over the chair as it took him in circles, around and around.

Riding With Pinchie Videos

Riding with Pinchie was fun.  She was a little nervous so she barked some.

but not too nervous to try to catch a moth.  Wait till the end of this video… you’ll see.

Riding With Pinchie

Sometimes we get to do something that is OVER THE TOP FUN!

Our friends Jessica and Diane have a small dog who showed interest in riding, so they called us to help.

We loaned them Cooper’s travel crate for the motorcycle and went for a ride with them.  Pinchie is a NATURAL!!!

Roll Break

We were on the bike for a long while in the heat.  We stoped for an ice cream and a rest.

What can I say?  Itchy dogs must roll.

And then roll some more.

Dighton's Vacant Chair

This is the cover and inside cover of the Annual Report for the town of Dighton.

The picture on the front is the POW/MIA chair we, the Patriot Riders, asked for as payment for some volunteer work we did.

And the inside page recognizes us in print.  This is an honor for us.

We missed the unveiling of the chair but they opened Town Hall to let us in to see the chair one weekend day.

It was cool to be in there with no one else around.

Fort Ticonderoga - Pipe and Drums

Here were the pipe and drum band.

We were upstairs looking out of one of the windows.

Cooper really liked them but I couldn’t get a picture of him watching because I was holding him and the camera at the same time.

Fort Ticonderoga - Theme Players

On our vacation this year we went to Ft. Ticonderoga in NY.

We took the tour, then went off on our own to see things.

One of the rooms in the fort was where they used to make shoes.

And in another room upstairs from that room they made uniforms.

It was there we found theme players who LOVED Cooper.

I’m fairly sure there were no blue haired dogs back then.

But it’s fun to pretend.

And to look out the window we could see and hear the pipe and drum band.

Fort Ticonderoga - The Grounds

The grounds at Ft. Ticonderoga are as authentic and original as probably any historical place I’ve toured so far.

Most of the structure

was original having been bought by a man who knew these grounds as a child.

He left original for a long time before he decided to restore it and create a museum with the relics he had found all around the grounds.

Fort Ticonderoga - The Museum

Some of the things we learned about in this museum were amazing.

Nostalgic.

Human sacrifice and living conditions were revealed with the evidence of what you would see there.

Cooper doesn’t learn a thing from this,

but he is a good avenue for me to tell you about what I saw.

I highly recommend you visit this museum if you’re interested in seeing physically authentic history.

Cooper's favorite?...  All the smells people bring in when they tour the museum.

Fort Ticonderoga - The Tour

This years vacation was to Ft. Ticonderoga in NY.

Cooper was happy to be along for the ride as usual.

We took the tour and learned a lot.

This museum contains relics collected from the battle grounds on site.

It’s amazing how many things were collected.

Then later there were original and authentic things donated to the museum.

You can feel the history as you listen to the speaker.

Lexington and Concord

Trying to go on local day trip type vacation, we decided to sight see in Massachusetts.

There is a lot of history here so we decided to go to Lexington and Concord.

There was a lot to see, but I had been sick so I wasn’t able to get much out of it.

I didn’t want to waste my vacation by laying in bed.

These are the only pictures I got and I don’t remember what they are.

But if you look at the mirror across the room,

you'll see me, Cooper and Warren looking through the window this authentic home.

I was really too sick to continue.  I was exhausted, so we went home.
