Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Helicopter - In Flight Videos

I was able to get some good video on my cell phone.  I was glad to have Cooper tethered tightly to me.

I was able to manage him hands free while taking video of my first flight ever.

Cooper wasn’t entirely comfortable with the whole thing, but he trusted me.

I hope to do this again.  Cooper will probably be better next time.

Helicopter - In Flight Pictures

Here are some pictures I good while we were in flight.

I had my cell phone AND my good camera so I could take the best pictures I could.

Me and Gene.  My Dear friend of 35 years.

We were about 500 feet in the air.

We went about 5 miles out.

The ride was less than 10 minutes.

But what a great experience for me and Cooper to share.

Helicopter - Cooper's Head Gear

A Huey Helicopter is really loud so we made sure Cooper had head gear to protect his hearing.

He was WAY better with it than I thought he would be.

Usually he will shake his head like a lunatic any time he has something on him that he doesn’t like.

As you can tell here, he was VERY well behaved about keeping it on.

Helicopter - Landing Noise Didn't Phase Him

As we waited for our turn to fly, we watched as the helicpoter took people from before us.

I wanted to get close enough to see how Cooper would feel about the noise it made.

It was really loud from where we stoof, but…

Nope… didn’t care at all.  Not even a little bit.

Helicopter - In The Bus On The Way To Helicopter Ride

I had never flown, ever.  Not on a plane, not on a helicopter, not in a balloon.  It’s not that I was afraid to fly… I had just never had any reason to fly before.

My friend paid for us to go on a flight in a Huey.  He used to be a crew member on a Huey during his 23 years in the service.  He hasn’t flown since his military days.  When he had the chance to fly, he decided to treat me to a flight too.

We're on the bus that took us from the parking lot to the air port.  You can hardly see us but you can almost tell Cooper was looking all over the place in that mirror.

Always excited about everything.

Cooper At The Beach

Sometimes you just have to let a dog be a dog.

Let him follow his nose.

Play in the water.

Get muddy.

Do all the things a dog will love to do when you bring them to the beach.

Cooper got muddy beach sand all over the motorcycle on this day.

But he had so much fun that it was worth the wet ride home.

Cooper's Tent

My friend found this little dog tent for Cooper.

Someone was giving it away free on the side of the road.

We picked it up and I brought it home to him.  I didn’t even get it totally set up yet before he was in it barking at me.

He was so cute.  He didn’t even mind when I zipped him in there.

What a perfect find for him, especially when everyone is out by the fire and Cooper gets tired.

I’ll put a bed of some sort in there and he’ll be happy to lay in there and nap.

Under The Tub

I have an old style tub that is up on feet in my bathroom.  Sometimes when Cooper chases his treat ball around it will go under the furniture.

One day he was in the bathroom barking under the tub… which caused an echo by the way.  So I told him to go get what he wanted, and out he came with the treat ball!

Georgia - The 101st Viewing Country

If Cooper has taught me nothing else since I got him, writing this blog for him is making me look at some of the different countries there are in this world.

Where it all began.
Cooper's first ride at 10 weeks old

While watching the statistics for this blog, I’ve counted 101 countries that have viewed it.  Most recently, Georgia, which before now I thought was just a state in the United States Of America.  Now I know this…

Patriotic Pillows

My friend knows I love anything patriotic.

And she finds sales where she gets the coolest stuff for next to nothing.

I think these pillows cost her under $3.

I was going to put them on my couch.

But when I took them out of the bag and put them on my bed.

Cooper claimed them as his new cuddle buddies.
