Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Almost Time

Cooper’s blue is about faded to nothing this time of the year.

It’s almost time to spend some time on his hair.

He’ll be blue soon.  Just wait.  It’s almost time.

An Old Favorite

This picture always makes me laugh.  I guess it wouldn’t be funny if any animal other than a dog was in it.

To me this picture looks like a public porta-potty for dogs, and this one is Out Of Service.  The caption should say, “Where am I gonna pee now?”

I See My Bike... Where's Cooper?

I see my bike but I don’t see Cooper anywhere.

The story behind this picture is that we did a funeral escort for a Vietnam Veteran.  Always a proud moment.  Always an honor.

This day will come soon.  Every year we help assemble the field of flags for Mansfield Massachusetts.

This was the crew of helpers last year.  This year will be even better.

VFW - Found His Way To Walt

In Cooper’s travels to find a good lap to sit on…

He worked his way around the table until he found his best buddy Walt.

He finds Walt every time we’re together and will stay with him every time.

VFW -There He Is

A night at the VFW having dinner and attending a meat raffle.

Cooper doesn’t care about the dinner OR the meat raffle.

He cares about all the laps there are to sit on.

Everyone welcomes him and everyone pets him in a different way.

He loves to visit everyone he can.  Sometimes I allow it and sometimes I don’t.

It depends on how busy or rowdy the group is.  Gotta protect my boy.

What's New Under The Snow

With all the recent warm weather the snow has mostly melted.

Cooper likes to go out there and sniff.

It seems like he sniffs every inch of the yard.  Slow and thorough exploration of the yard.

Like all the smells on the snow has settled onto the ground while all the water soaked in.  It’s cool to watch the primal side of Cooper in this innocent way.

Missing Gabrielle

Missing our kitty Gabrielle.  She passed away a couple years ago.

She would have just turned 19 just a few days ago.  He was a precious family member who we miss all the time.

VBVMC Cabin Fever Party - Lap Surfing On The Guys

At a recent party, Cooper participated in one of his favorite sports.

I should make a collection of all the times he has done this.

You can’t tell but these guys are kind of ‘chair dancing’ with Cooper.

So cute.  The guys were cuter than Cooper this time.

VBVMC Cabin Fever Party - Lap Surfing On The Ladies

And as with tomorrow’s blog post will show, Cooper makes his rounds…

This time on the ladies.

Tomorrow you will see the men chair dance with him…

Today you see how the ladies love and spoil him.

Life is good for Cooper.

It’s always an adventure.

Too Much Partying Friday Night

On St. Patrick’s Day we went to the VFW.

We had such a good time… Can you tell?

Helping With My Work

Some days, especially the chilly days I hang out in my room with the space heater on.  No sense in heating the whole house if it’s only me and Cooper home.

So when I’m working on stuff that needs my attention, I spread it out on my bed.

And Cooper finds a good place to get comfortable in the midst of it all.

His own brand of ‘Helping’ I guess.  I love it till I need ever is under his chin.

VBVMC Drawing Tickets

At the Veteran’s Brotherhood Cabin Fever Party they had a raffle table.  At the end of the night they drew all the winning tickets for all the raffle prizes.

They had random people drawing the tickets, including me.  Then someone made the joke that Cooper should draw a ticket.

They thought I was kidding when I told them he would.  So they gave him a chance.

He did NOT disappoint!  He was so cute and did it perfectly!  So well in fact that they had him do it twice.

I love when he does things like this so well.  He had never done it before but he did it like a pro.

Cooper and King - Get Along Well

Cooper loves other dogs but doesn’t get to see them often enough  to really know how to play with them.

He likes to sniff and get close.

He would like to chase and bark.

He’s not interested in letting the other dog sniff him.

He gets jumpy if another dog barks at him.

This dog is my friend’s dog King.  He comes around every now and then.

Cooper gets to rally spend a little time with him and settle in and get comfortable.

He likes King.  I like to give Cooper time with dogs he likes.

It’s good for him.

Cooper and King - Jealous

Cooper and King are friends,

but when we first introduce them I like to keep them separated enough to allow Cooper to get a grip and not be too aggressive.

I held King so Cooper had no choice but to calm down.

I expected him to stop jumping around and being too excited before I let King down on the floor.

King is under 4 pounds and Cooper is 22 pounds.

Cooper being calm is important with that much size difference.

Cooper did great calming down and being a good boy, so I put King down and watched them as they greeted and sniffed.

It’s so nice to be able to provide a good meeting like this.

Cooper doesn’t get enough dog socialization so rare times like these are a gift to him.
