Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Stairs Used To Be Easy

Cooper has stumbled down the stairs a few times.  Now it's time to put a leash on him at the top of the stairs so if he stumbles I can catch him.

This was only about a year ago.  I think maybe after I cut his hair he might have an easier time with stairs.

Home Made Rickshaw Ride 1 Pictures

I have a little flat trailer we decided to give Cooper a ride on like a rickshaw.

We no sooner pulled it out when Cooper jumped on to see how well it works.

Cooper was all excited.

He was so ready to ride.

1979 Shovel Head

Here's Cooper posing on his Daddy's 1979 Harley Shovel Head.

It's not as comfortable as my Honda Gold Wing.

But totally cool if you're a Harley lover.

Itty Bitty Baby... All Grown Up

Look how cute and unsure and shy he was the day after I got him.

As an adult he's a very happy and popular boy.  Who would have thought he would grow to such a perfect dog.

Comfortable and Confident

This is where Cooper is comfortable and confident.

He likes to be on the bike but not leashed so he can't move around.
SUCH a HAPPY BOY!!!

Quiet Time

Usually Cooper is either on the go or sound asleep.

Here is rare proof that he will interact calmly with someone.

My Sock Monkey

I made a sock monkey over 20 years ago.
When Cooper was a puppy I put the sock monkey away so he wouldn't chew it.

When I could trust Cooper not to chew it, I brought it out to put on the bed.  Cooper loves to snuggle with it.

Love These Pictures

I love these pictures.

We were at a motorcycle run and one of my friends who is a professional photographer took them.

He really captures Cooper in this one.  One of the best pictures of him EVER.

Wrestling Moves 2

He may not be the most talented wrestler.

But I think he is the loudest.

Wrestling Moves 1

I'm not sure what kind of wrestling move this is.

But it seems like Cooper could be winning.

He has always loved to wrestle.

Toy Bike

A kid brought his bike to bike night one time a few years ago.

Who can resist taking a picture?

It looks as if he showed up at bike night on his own ride!

We Haven't Been Swimming In A Long Time

We haven't been swimming in a long time.

This summer we will have to go swimming.

This was our friend's indoor pool.

Sometimes we swim in a pond.  Cooper doesn't care.  He just likes to swim.

From Cooper's First Riding Season

This is another picture from Cooper's first riding season.  He wasn't even a year old yet.

Look how natural he seemed.  As a natural with no fear.

Baby Cooper's First Event

Look at this baby!!!

This was his very first event he ever went on.  We went to a bike blessing on Dennis Beach on Cape Cod.  It was his first ride and his first time playing in beach sand.  So long ago!  Almost 13 years now.  Maybe we'll go to this bike blessing again this year.

Update

Since our car accident he has been scared to be in the car.  I posted about this about a week ago.  I took him to the doctor and we decided to give him some calming medication.

This is an update.  He seems to be doing really well on a low dose of anxiety medication.  I'll be taking him in the car next week to see how he feels about it.  I'll let you know.

Party Animal!

 My super silly boy!

He doesn't care what we do to him.  He just lets me do anything I want.

The hat was just sitting on his head.  He seemed to understand and just balanced it like a pro.

Hiding rib bones in his crate.

It kept him busy for a couple hours.

Rib Bones - 2 - In The Crate Video

You should read yesterday's post.  It shows Cooper's interest in his new bones.

This is him hiding the bone in his crate.  Look at his happy tail!

Rib Bones - 1

We had ribs for dinner.

I'm not one to give bones to dogs because cooked bones splinter if they're bitten hard enough.

Cooper doesn't really bite bones hard so I let him have the bones in the same room as me so I could watch how hard he bit them.

Little did I know how cute he was going to be while he worked on the bones.

He tried to burry them, bark at them, hide them...

I wish he had this kind of interest every day.  His teeth would be nice if he liked to chew on bones more.

Adorable!

So totally adorable.  I love that face!!!

This was taken at a recent event we went to.  He's a celebrity!!!

Cooper's Crate

How cute is he?  After our car accident and me being home from work for almost 5 months, I decided to bring Cooper's old crate up for him to sleep in while I'm at work.

I had to clean it up because it was so dusty and dirty from being in the basement for the last 8 years.

He was so happy to see it.  I put it back together after cleaning it and I left the door off so he can go in and out as he pleases.

He's so happy and sleeps in it most of the time even when I'm home.

So Scared In The Car Now

Cooper has always been so good everywhere we've ever gone.  He prefers the motorcycle.  He has never been a fan of car rides.  Now after 2 car accidents 4 years apart he is panicked every time we get in the car.  This is a video I took of him in the parking lot of his vet.

I can't train him or gain his trust in the car now.  Some rides are better than others but they are NEVER comfortable for him.  So I brought him to see the vet to get something to calm his nerves.  I hope it helps him.  It is torture for me to know I can't help him.  It's torture for him to go through this every time we go somewhere.  We need to do something to help him. Wish us luck.

Cooper and Rabbit 3 - Wanna Play?

After they got their greetings over with they were really comfortable with each other.

Rabbit was VERY eager to play!

Cooper and Rabbit 2 - Butt Sniffing

 Such a pretty girl.

She's a really big playmate for Cooper.

Just to sniff her butt he needs to stand on tippy toes.

Unless she lays down on the floor.

Cooper and Rabbit 1 - Hello New Friend

Cooper and Rabbit have seen each other before but weren't really able to meet.

Rabbit is a 2 year old Great Dane service dog who is paired with a Marine Veteran friend of mine.

I kept Cooper on the chair while they met for the first time.  It kind of leveled the playing field a bit.

Rabbit is a super playful puppy still where Cooper is a 13 year old who can be hurt easily, so this was a good start.
