Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Win - Win

Look at the friends Cooper attracts.

They want to touch him and take pictures.

He just wants the attention.

I guess you can call this a "Win - Win".

Spring Will Come!

This was four years ago.  I went for a ride in secret.  It was a secret because I had just gotten out of a cast on my right leg.

I totally relate to this picture right now because I compare it to now.  I just got my cast off AGAIN from another injury.   Same leg, but this time there is NO WAY I can get on my bike.  I still can't even walk yet.  Cooper doesn't know the difference, but I do.  I'll be ready by SPRING!

On The Road Again

I look at these pictures while I sit here with Cooper on the couch next to me, and I can feel summer.

I love to know Cooper is behind me on the bike as much as I love to know he is next to me on the couch.

I can't wait till summer comes.  I have about six months to plan what we're going to do in the summer of 2020.  Bike or RV and for how long and where to go?  All I know is I can't wait to be me and Cooper on the road again.

Where Are You?

Someone came looking for me.  It's good to be found by him.

He's GREAT Christmas company.

Santa Suit

I couldn't find Cooper's Santa suit this year.

I guess he shouldn't wear it every year anyhow.

Maybe between this year and next year I can find him an ugly sweater.

Yesterday's Picture

I took yesterday's picture and did this...

... to wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Green and Red

Cooper kind of likes this little necklace.  He put his head through it like he wanted to wear it.

I wonder if he realizes it's Christmas.  This is his 13th after all.  Maybe he remembers presents and cute clothes and a tree in the house you're not allowed to pee on.

Things Cooper Wears 3 - Sailing

This was a long time ago!  Cooper on a sail boat.  He had to have a life jacket too in order to go out on the boat.

He really enjoyed sailing.  He loves to play in water.  I had to convince him that it was a bad idea to jump overboard.

Things Cooper Wears 2 - Winter Bike Gear

When we ride in the winter, Cooper has a lot of clothes he can wear to keep him warm.

This isn't easy to see, but it's a snow suit that covers all four legs and I can put a sweat shirt under for extra warmth.

To keep his ears from freezing I put a long hood on him to keep his ears close to his warm head and neck.  He hates to be this bundled up but doesn't fight it because he understands how cold it would be without it.

Things Cooper Wears 1 - Glasses

Face book memories are the best.  Here we get to look back 10 years.

This was when it was so much fun to get Cooper to wear cute things.

He still lets me do what I want but he's much less patient with me to get a good picture.

Boxes! 2

I'm loving the video lately.  Cooper was trying to behave a little bit.

Of course he had to bark like a lunatic because I wouldn't let him chew the box.

Boxes! 1

Since Christmas is coming and I can't get out to shop, I have gifts coming almost every day.

Cooper gets all excited when boxes come.

He wants to tear them open, but I don't allow it.

He will be able to tear into them when he opens his gifts.

I'll get pictures and video of that.

He loves presents, and the BOXES they come in.

Wanna Go Out? 4

So after Cooper goes out when it's raining a little bit, he comes in and rubs all over and dries himself off on the nearest allowable item.

This time it was a blanket.  He never would have gotten away with it if the blanket wasn't on the chair.

Wanna Go Out? 3

By his lack of enthusiasm, I'm guessing he wants to go back in.

I was right.

Wanna Go Out? 2

I don't go out at all since our car accident.  It's been too cold.

But when I let Cooper out and it's warm out and not raining, I am able to get out on the back deck.   Nothing was dry so I sat on my knee scooter and put my feet up on the wheels while Cooper ran around sniffing and peeing.

I was totally enjoying being outside.  Cooper loved having me outside with him.  He had a LOT to say!

Wanna Go Out? 1

He has no trouble getting his point across.

My favorite part is when his little feet dance a little bit at the end when I ask him if he wants to go out.

Piggy Back Ride

My daughter likes to have her kids walk on her back because it acts as an adjustment to her spine.

When the kids stopped, Cooper got on.

He stood on her back and barked at her like he was king of the mountain.

My daughter got up on her hands and knees with Cooper still on her back.

Cooper really seemed to like the adventure.

Maybe he was thinking of when he was on horseback as you can see a few posts back.

He's a brave boy.  Even when my daughter moved around, he never lost his footing.

It's all about the adventure with him.

Not Our First Accident

Currently I'm healing from having a car accident in October.  Look at these pictures... They are from 4 years ago.

We were in an accident then too.  I broke my right ankle that time.  This time it's my right foot.

Cooper was in both accidents but not hurt at all in the first one.

Has a small limp from the second one, which we will have x-rayed in a few weeks.

Barking Like A Lunatic

As I have to stay home all day every day to heal my foot, Cooper and I make the best of it.

We have a lot of down time, but we also play.  He loves to bark when he plays so when he wants me to know it's time to play he will bark at me as he stands right at my feet.

Cooper Massage

Cooper gets frequent periods of spoiling.  He loves to be massaged.

While I do this, I scratch with my fingernails sometimes and I also give a deeper pressure rub.  He loves it ALL.

Changing My Cast 2

If you read yesterday's post, you know Cooper would be in the way if I had him on the floor,

so I kept him on my lap while my cast was being changed.

The guy had to use a saw to cut the cast.  The saw was loud and it vibrated.

I thought Cooper would object to being as close as he had to be.

I was so surprised with how well he did.  It didn't bother him at all.

He never flinched or tried to move away from the noise.

When he could feel the vibration he just looked at it but never tried to get away from it.

What a good boy!

Changing My Cast 1

I had my cast changed and there was no room chair for Cooper to be on.  So I laid my coat on the floor for him to lay on.

Unfortunately he was in the way a little bit.  I had to put him on my lap.

Knowing the saw they use would make noise, I wasn't sure how he would take it.

You'll see in tomorrow's post.  We took pictures.

First Snow 2

I'm not sure why he feels the need to bark after rolling in the snow as you saw on yesterday's post.

Before he came in he wanted to bark for a little while.  I guess hanging around with me as my foot heals up is kind of boring.  This was a lot more fun.

First Good Snow 1

If the snow is more than just a dusting, Cooper loves to roll in it.  I wish I could have gotten out to take better video but with a broken foot I had to stay inside.

You can see him rolling every part of himself including under his chin.  He must really love what it feels like because he does it every time there is a new snow.

Puzzle 3

When he gets to this point with his puzzle I have to take it away from him so he won't do any more damage to it.

He tends to bite it and dig at it to try to get more food out of it.  He's very cute... fun video to watch.

Puzzle 2

Cooper is able to get all the treats out of his puzzle fairly quickly.  I don't want to over feed him so I can't keep giving him refills on food in his puzzle.

Look how much he loves this though.  Maybe I'll start putting his meals in the puzzle so he gets to do this more.  I can spread it out over a few different fills to make it seem like more.

Puzzle 1

Cooper found his old puzzle.  I think my grand kids helped him dig it out of his toy box.

It's movable parts that cover little hollow places where I can put treats or food into it.

He has to work it so he can move the parts that cover the treats.  He loves this.

Thanksgiving Spot

Usually if Cooper can't have his own chair to lay on while we eat, he usually wants to lay on my lap.

This year he just wanted to lay on the coats that were piled on the floor.

I can't blame him.  The coats were warm and soft and in the same room as us.  All the components to make a dog happy.

Pop Corn

I had a bowl of pop corn one of the many days I had to stay put on the couch with my casted foot up on pillows.

I was bored... Cooper was Bord... Salty pop corn was a really good idea.

He wasn't sure if he should eat it or play with it.

I put it in his food dish to try to give him a hint.

Then I took it out of the bowl and he pawed at it a little bit...

Then he licked it a few times...

He did have it in his mouth and chewed it a couple times but in the end he spit it out.
