Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Cleaning Out The Shed

In my shed, there are 2 sides that are divided by a wall.  The shed is very old and it had four years of stuff thrown in there with no organization to it at all.

So, I emptied out both sides, burned some stuff that could be burned, organized the rest.

Cooper found a way to see me through a hole in the wall.

How funny is he?  I didn’t even see him there until he barked.

He scared me at first, then it was so funny I had to take pictures to show you.

On The Shed

Cooper loves to be up high.  He can see everything from up there…

The smells must be wonderful from up there.

The Best Cuddle

Cooper has little tolerance for someone to hold him like this.

But Alex is able to hold him in his lap and hug him all he wants.

He’s completely at ease…

Not a bit of concern.

I don’t know who enjoys these hugs more…

Cooper or Alex.

It’s just good for the heart.

It’s good for the mind.

It’s good for the soul.

Hello Little Corgi

Cooper loves to meet other dogs.

Here’s an adorable little corgi who wouldn’t let Cooper get close enough to sniff her.  She’s playing hard to get.

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI - Pro Photo

Someone found this picture of me and Cooper and tagged me on FaceBook.

Apparently there was a professional photographer there on the side of the road taking pictures of the bikes as we went by.  What a big job.  There were over 8,000 bikes.  She got GREAT shots of me and some of my friends. Too bad we got Cooper's butt rather than his face.

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI- The Saluting Marine

At the Boston Wounded Vet Run VI Cooper and I got to meet the Saluting Marine, Tim Chambers(click).

He has become famous for his presence at Rolling Thunder in DC where he stands and solutes the bikers for HOURS as they roll past him.  He is a huge presence and highly respected by those who honor our veterans.  He is invited to participate in ceremonies and events all over the United States, which is how we had the honor of meeting him in Massachusetts.

Thank you Tim for being such an inspiration, and for calling attention with such a GRAND DISPLAY of HONOR(click).

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI - A Quick Stop

We were on our way to the Boston Wounded Vet Run VI and we stopped at a gas station.

I have no idea what I was laughing at.  What a terrible picture!  You don't even get to see Cooper's cute face.

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI - During The Ride

During this ride it was hard to get the chance to get a picture.

No one around me had a camera, so these pictures are about all I’ve got from during the ride.

I tried to show the line of bikes in front and behind, but there were 8,760+ bikes… I can’t show those no matter what.

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI - Staging Pic

This picture was taken by someone as we were pulling into the staging area at Boston Harley.

I liked it so much I made it my profile picture on FaceBook.

Boston Wounded Vets Run VI - Staging

This year’s Boston Wounded Vet’s Run was the 6th annual.  It’s an AMAZING event.

We register before we get to the ride so we don’t get caught up in the traffic of registration.

look at the center of the picture.  woman with pink sleeves is giving Cooper TONS of attention.

Then we have a couple hours to walk around and see people we haven’t seen in a while, and also meet new people.

You can just about see Cooper's head.  He's on the seat of my bike as I dig around in the trunk.

Cooper really enjoys all the excitement, chit chat and friends.

You can't really see Cooper but his fluffy blue head is in view.  See it?

It’s a perfect way to raise money for our veterans.

Well… Little?  He wasn’t much smaller than Cooper.

How Cute!

Cooper never misses a chance to share a nap with someone.

It doesn’t matter where… hammock, chair, bed, couch… even on the floor.

He doens’t mind where it is, he just wants to take a nap.

Meeting A New Puppy at Star Drive-Inn

Cooper always loves it when he gets to meet another dog.

This puppy was a ball of energy.

He really wanted to play with Cooper, but not the way Cooper would be willing to play.

Cooper will play ‘chase’.

This pup wanted to WRESTLE!

Cooper kept his distance from this guy for sure.

Hanging With Walt

We have our Meet and Greet every Tuesday evening.  My friend Walter and his wife Sue came this week.

Cooper was happy to hang out with Walter.  We’ll be seeing a lot of each other this summer.  Walt is going to be a member of my motorcycle group.  I’m so happy.

Lap Surfing at Jacob's Run

On Jacob’s Run we were half way through the ride and pulled in for a break.

We sat at a table for a while, and Cooper jumped up on Logan’s lap.

He likes sitting up with people rather than on the ground.

So he sat with him for a while, then looked at me as if to ask if he could jump to my lap.

So I let him, and then he went to the other side of me so he could make his way to Warren.

He gets where he wants to go.

Besties

There is never any shortage of pictures of these two together.  Cooper really loves this guy.

He’s so comfortable with him and looks up to him for direction sometimes when he’s not sure what’s going on.  He trusts him.  I’m so happy Cooper has his safe people.

Jacob's Run Video

We are at -0.43, -0.42 on the count down timer.  You see my grand son’s bright blue jacket behind me on the bike.  Cooper is across my lap.  You can see the blur of his blue hair in front of me.
