Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Out Back - By The Fire

Cooper is less interested in the fire than most of us.

He would rather find a lap to hang out on.

Out Back - Cooking Out

We had a fire to cook on after we did some yard work.

I had to burn stuff anyhow, so why not use the fire to cook dinner too, right?

Cooper was tired but willing to cook out with us.

This is what he looks like when he 'helps' me cook dinner over the fire.

A Day With Karen, Muriel and Angie

We spent s day with the girls.

We haven’t ridden with them in a long time.

Cooper loves her lady friends.

They are all his aunties.

He has a LOT of aunties.

Shane Gives Thanks

Here we are posing with Shane from ‘Shane Gives Thanks’ organization where he takes donations to feed needy families.

Cooper felt good about stepping on Warren’s head in this picture.   Well… I helped.

Feather

Hanging out while my friend rebuilt my front porch.

Cooper was very entertained, but not as entertained as when I was handed a feather for Cooper to smell.

I wonder if he can tell that it came from a bird.

Not Feeling Well

Sometimes Cooper gets a belly ache and he can’t eat.  On these days you can tell he really isn’t feeling well.

He can’t relax, he will lay with his head up like this and is clearly uncomfortable.

He will move from one place to another.

Sometimes he will lay in places he wouldn’t usually choose to lay.

I just leave him alone to deal with it himself.  He really doesn’t want me to bother him even if I’m just trying to help.

Side Bags

Yup…  Cooper is a curious boy.

I was cleaning out the new bike getting ready to organize the bags.

Don’t you know he had to check it all out.  He almost fits in there.

Mornin' Lovin' From Wedgie

Wedgie went away for the weekend.

Cooper is used to him being home all weekend.

When they saw each other on Monday they spent about 5 minutes on greeting each other.

They are so cute together.

For me it’s cool to see Cooper interacting with his friends.

No matter what, he is capable of holding onto his own relationships.

I see him as independent and separate from me in many ways.

JC's Funeral - Flag Line

This flag line is mostly made up of members of the Patriot Riders, including Cooper thought you can't see him.  He is at my feet in the shade.

There were a few members of other groups there also to represent and show respect from their group.

This is what bikers do when a member of our community dies.

JC was also a veteran.

JC's Funeral - Joni's Love

Cooper always has someone there who would be willing to give him so good scratches and plenty of love.

Joni never fails to give him some good spoiling attention.

He knows exactly who to go to for a scratch or a hug.

These two know each other well and have ridden together quite a few times.

Joe's Funeral - The Group

A member of Patriot Riders was killed on his motorcycle recently.   Patriot Riders from any chapter close enough to come were there.

We had members from all the chapters in MA, NH and ME in attendance.  It was truly a wonderful show of support.

This patch was given to all of us who attended Joe's funeral.
Cooper was very at home with all these people.  Most of them already knew him.  Some he was getting to know for the first time.

Krazy Dayz - Alpaca

Cooper got to meet an Alpaca.

Actually there were two of them.

The male wasn’t as curious, but the female…

Maybe she saw a resemblance.

Krazy Days - Boxer Pup

Look at this boxer puppy!

What a beautiful and well behaved dog!

She was only 7 months old which surprised me because she was so calm and acted so mature.

The owners of this little girl are very lucky.  She has a great personality.

Krazy Days - Another Service Dog

There was another service dog at Krazy Dayz.

Well trained, well behaved and clearly on duty.

I love to see another working dog who lives up the title.

So many people doubt the validity of a working dog that to show their worth and evidence of intense training… maybe people can be taught to be more accepting.

Krazy Dayz - A Big Hit

In my town, they have a day they call Krazy Dayz where they close down the whole center of town and have vendors in the middle of the street for two days.

Posing

Cooper got a lot of attention just for being blue and well behaved.

Waving
But when he waved at people on cue… THAT was what they all loved!
