Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Broken Leg - Part 3

We had to go to Boston to have his leg set.  We had to wait for a little while.  Cooper was very well behaved.

We spent the majority of the day at the hospital in Boston.

Cooper was fine, very well behaved.  No worries for him as long as we were all together.

Broken Leg - Part 2

After Jesse's accident we went home to spend the night in preparation of going back to the hospital the next morning to have the leg set and casted.  Keeping Jesse comfortable wasn't easy.  He didn't even want to change out of his hospital johnny.

Cooper was loyal as usual.  He really wanted to stay with Jesse.  Do you think he could get any closer?

Broken Leg - Part 1

Life can never be dull.  It seems someone is always making sure things get mixed up fairly well so we never run out of things to pay close attention to.

Jesse went down on his bike and broke his leg.  He went to the hospital by ambulance and Cooper and I met him there later.  When we got there they were splinting Jesse's leg.

Cooper had to sit in the chair in the ER and wait to see what was going to happen.  It turned out he was to come home and return for surgery the next day so they could put his leg back together again.

Toys For Smiles Ride

The Toys For Smiles ride was a great one this year.  As always they raise a lot of money for toys for underprivileged children.

Christmas is made better every year by the generosity of bikers who attend rides like these.

My son rode with me this time.  Cooper is getting much better at riding on the tank.  He doesn't seem to mind it so much any more either.  He's much better about settling down and he seems to enjoy the ride too.  He can sit up in front of me or lay across the tank while resting on my legs.

Not bad if the back seat is occupied.

Candid Shot, Loving My Boy

This picture was taken this summer.  Sometimes people just catch me loving my boy.

Blessing

Here we are at the beginning of a ride.  Sometimes we're fortunate enough to be riding with a group called the Covenant Motorcycle Ministry.  They have blessed me, Cooper and our bike many times.

Here we are, holding hands, praying together.  I'm not sure Cooper gets it, but he's always willing to take part.  He's part of my blessing every day.

Remembering This Hot Day

Memorial Day weekend was a HOT one.  We did a ride to Cohasset for a patriotic ceremony.

I remember this seat I chose specially for me and Cooper.  There was an air conditioner vent in the floor just below us. I sat with Cooper on my lap with the air blowing right on him.  He needed to cool down and as you can tell... he appreciated this break from the heat.

MC Cops

It was an exciting day for Cooper to be in our car and seeing a line of bikes in traffic.

He was very interested.  I wonder if he realized they were all motorcycle cops.  Don't they look great all lined up?

Cooper just likes the bikes.  He doesn't care who they are.

Hospital Overnight - Part 3

Waiting for the doctor to come discharge Jesse was quiet and comfortable.  Jesse had a bed, I had a recliner right next to him and Cooper had the choice of laying with either of us.

After Jesse got dressed he knew we would be leaving.  It wouldn't be long now.  Cooper understood the signs.  We had our shoes on after all.  He was ready and willing to go.

Hospital Overnight - Part 2

When they brought Jesse for some tests I got in the bed to take advantage of the comfort.  I needed to sleep a little.

Cooper came to me when I called him.  I like him to stay right with me.  Especially when I sleep.  That way I don't have to tie him to anything.

He wasn't interested in exploring.  A bed with Mama in it was all he was really interested in at this point.

Hospital Overnight - Part 1

I got home from an outing to find out Jesse needed to go to the hospital.  They found something on the test he had done earlier.  They wanted him to come back and not to drive himself.  So Jesse, Cooper and I got in the car and headed to the hospital for more tests.

As hospitals go, there isn't always a comfortable place to lay.  Especially for a dog.  So I laid my thick sweat shirt on the floor for him.

He was very happy with the offer.  He laid on it and stayed there. Jesse napped on the bed, I napped on the chair and Cooper napped on my sweat shirt.

Another Nappy Place At Andy's

It seems Cooper will find a good bed anywhere.

Lately he's had lots of different opportunities to find new warm soft places to sleep.

I wish it was so easy for me to get this comfortable everywhere I go.

I do ok though.  Just not THIS good.

Blue Knights Toy Run - Part 5

Look at this new friend!

Yup!  Another biker pup.  This was his second ride.  He seemed fine.  Very comfortable.

Look for yourself.

He even likes to watch the bikes behind over his mommy's shoulder.  HOW CUTE this little guy is!

AND... He'll wear the doggles.  Cooper won't wear them.  He hates them.  I think he would do better if he did wear them but 'NO WAY' is his answer to that.

Blue Knights Toy Run - Part 4

Well... if you are returning to our continued story from yesterday, you know Cooper was being a bit of a problem while we were trying to take his picture.

I actually got a couple of good shots but the trouble with this was...

This little guy.  They had met at last years ride.  This pup seemed to really want to be in the pictures but his butt was toward the camera the whole time.

He's a cutie, but VERY disruptive...

... but we don't mind.

Blur Knights Toy Run - Part 3

I really wanted to get good pictures of Cooper with the police bikes.

This ride uses more police bikes than any other police escorted rides.  They seemed to have every intersection blocked.  Where there wasn't a bike there was a cruiser waiting for us.

Cooper was a little less attentive to me than I like him to be while we were trying to get good pictures of him with the bikes.

Read tomorrow to see why...

Blue Knights Toy Run - Part 2

The Blue Knights Toy Run began at a local Wal*Mart and ended at a VFW a few towns away.

We were guided on a scenic ride for at least an hour.  I didn't time it and really have no idea how many miles we covered.  It was fun though.  That bike just ahead is me and Cooper.

This is what things looked like at the end.  My favorite ride photographers got tried to get most of the bikes in these pictures.  I wish I could count them all.

Here is a picture of my favorite ride photographers.  Picture taken while riding.
