Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Picking Up Long Logs

You can't see Cooper but he's on the seat of the truck trying to get my attention so he can get out.

I don't let him out while I load the truck because I'm too busy to watch him.

One of the best things I ever did was to train him to stay in the car/truck (even with the doors open) or on the bike without getting down unless I say he can.

Cooper In The Plants

Cooper has this thing with getting in the flower pots to dig.

It's hard to keep the plants healthy and growing around here.

He's so mischievous sometimes.

Purple Shades

At a benefit party recently there was a friend of Coopers who had purple sun glasses.

We couldn't resist putting them on Cooper since his hair had faded to purple.

What do you think?

Split And Piled For Cooper's Pleasure

If you've been following Cooper's blog lately, you know we spend some time collecting wood and getting it ready for winter.

I have a friend come over with his wood splitter every so often to try to keep up with the wood.

Cooper seems to think this is all for his pleasure.  He's VERY happy to get on the pile of wood and play 'King Of The Mountain'.

It's a good game...  no matter how many times you play it.

Cooper Meets Bella

Bella is the firehouse dog in a nearby town.  She is a great dog.  She would qualify easily for the 'Canine Good Citizen's Award'.

I have known Bella for a couple years now because I bring my special needs students to see her almost weekly.

I kept telling the firefighters I would bring Cooper to meet them some day.

I was out on the bike one day with plenty of day left to ride.  I decided to go see if Bella was at the fire house.

She was....

Look how cute they were together in this video.

K-9 Benefit Ride To P-Town

Great ride!  This was a benefit to buy vests for K-9s.  Cooper was so happy to greet folks he was standing on the trunk of my bike.

What a great ride.  Beautiful weather.

Nice roads escorted by police(click)  so we never had to stop.  They block every intersection before we get there.

A friend got some video of the end of the ride(click) when we arrived at our destination.  You can see us on the right backing into a space at 5 minutes 27 seconds.  Then listen... at 5 minutes 31 seconds you can hear Cooper bark.

Cleaning The Yard

Cleaning the yard was never so much fun.

After pruning the trees in the yard, there were a bunch of piles of brush to get rid of.

I could have put them in my truck and brought them to the dump, but what fun would that be?

I decided to burn them.  Cooper supervised from a safe distance.

I got it all burned down and was done around dark.

So... I had toasted marshmallows for dinner.  :)  Cooper wasn't interested in that though, he wanted his dog food.

Hero Stars of Cape Cod

This ride was a heart warming one.  There is a man named Bill Witkowski who carves  stars from granite and donates them to our fallen military heros.

His organization is called "Hero Stars of Cape Cod".  This man spends money from his own pocket for the most part.

He donated two stars on this ride to the parents of two fallen heros, Shayne Cabino and Joe Petrilli.

This man needs donations to help defer the cost of what he does out of the goodness of his heart.

He sold some smaller painted pieces at this ride to help with his costs.  These are painted by volunteers, including disabled veterans.

Laser Pointer Play

I know enough to keep laser pointers out of your eyes and all that.  They can be really dangerous.

But the are also fun to play with.

Cooper loves this pointer.  The cats do too but we didn't get them on video.

Watch Cooper.  He's really loves it.

And when you push the button it makes a click.

Cooper loves things that click.

He's so much fun for me.

A Little Deeper And He Could Swim

A little deeper and Cooper could swim in the tub.

He loves to play in the water.

I don't even give him showers any more because he doesn't play in the shower.

Play Time For The Birthday Boy

Cooper got to have some really great play time at his birthday party.

He was playing with Dave with a piece of wood.

Dogs don't need toys.  They have people to make random objects fun.

This game was great fun!
