Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

I Got To Pose With Santa Too

It was nice of these old friends...

(meaning Cooper, Santa and Mrs. Clause)

... to allow me to pose with them for a picture this year.

I don’t know if I have been in even half of them over the years.

What a great day we had.

Santa and the Mrs. '17

When ever we go on the Blue Knights Annual Toy Run, Santa and Mrs. Clause are very familiar people.

Cooper sees them coming a mile away.

He’s very excited to see his old friends.

And FYI… I think they are as excited to see Cooper as he is to see them.

Dinner In Bed

Sometimes Cooper needs some coaxing to eat.

His appetite hasn't been great, so I’ve tried to set up an eating schedule for him.

Coaxing is the key.

Putting tasty things in his food helps.

Sometimes I bring his meal to WHERE EVER he is.

INCLUDING on the bed.

Exhausted After Flags

After picking up flags as you saw in the post on the 24th, Cooper was exhausted.

There weren’t many volunteers to pick up 77,000 flags so we worked hard.

I think we covered 3 miles walking each row picking up flags one at a time at a quick pace.  We probably picked up over 500 of them in that 3 miles of walking.

It was such an honor to do, and we’ll do it again and again for the veterans who are buried there.

Cooper's 7th Year With A Blue Doo

Yesterday was about the 7 year anniversary of Cooper’s blue doo.

I posted pictures of the first one.

Here are recent ones.

I love how it looks now.

First Blue Doo

November 21st marked 7 years since I started coloring Cooper’s hair blue.

Yup… the anniversary of Cooper’s Blue Doo.

Look how it came out the first time.

I had no idea how cool it would look long.

I just loved the little ringlets and didn’t want to cut them off.

Who knew it would become his look even 7 years later???

Removing Flags 11/2017

Here we are… the crew in our group who helped remove the flags from the Bourne cemetery.

They had been placed by other volunteers before Veteran’s Day.

We had a little help this year.  Turkeys came to check our progress.

They didn’t complain so I think we did ok.

Wishing You A Happy Thanksgiving

We did a great parade in 2011 in Plymouth MA…
home of the Pilgrims.
Cooper was only 5 years old here.
These have been the best pictures to use to wish you all a

Happy Thanksgiving

Best Place In The House

I spent a whole weekend cleaning a storage room out trying to make it into a closet.

Cooper spent the whole time with me.

At times there were no places to sit or lay down for quite a while.

I tried my best to make him comfortable but there wasn’t much I could do.

So when I got a phone call I sat on the floor to chat and take a break.

Cooper crawled up on me and fell asleep.

He was exhausted from watching me work.

Porta Potty For Pups

This is something every veterinarian should have outside their office.

It has obviously been well peed on.

Had tons of smells to completely capture Cooper’s interest.

And it’s in just the right place for a dog to visit on his way into his appointment and after he’s done.

And it makes a funny blog post for you.

Legacy Ride Pictures

When we did the Legacy Ride a couple months ago there was a person there who got some great pictures of Cooper.

He was also very willing to be photographed.

Well, when isn’t he really.

They also got a fairly good shot of Cooper’s vest in case you’d like a better look.

My Pillow Pal

Here was a day… weekend if I remember correctly and I needed a nap.  Somehow while I was sleeping the pillow slid onto Cooper and he let me sleep on him.

What a sweet feeling to be allowed to nap with him any time I want.  He’s always game.

Half A Walt Lap Is Better Than None

One of Cooper’s favorite laps is somewhat out of commission right now.

Walter had knee surgery and can’t really let Cooper lay on him as he usually does.

So I pulled my chair right up next to Walter’s so we were kind of sitting shoulder to shoulder.

Cooper laid across my lap with his head on Walter’s good leg.  It wasn’t really what he wanted but it was good enough for the time being.

It really warmed Walter’s heart to see how badly Cooper wanted to sit with him.
