Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

BWVR - The Other Service Dog

We see this service dog all the time.

She is a biker dog and is at all the Boston based veteran events.

Cooper recognizes her and knows not to get too close.

Though this time she had water and he wanted a sip.

BWVR Lizzy Doggy On Our Bike

When we were at the meeting place before going to the Boston Wounded Vet Run,  our friends met us there and they had their dog with them.

Their dog is so good.  She loves Cooper.

I think she would ride if they were set up to take her.

She’s happy to be on my bike.

I’ve put her up there with Cooper twice.

He feels crowded when another dog is on the bike with him.

He isn’t really happy to share the bike with another dog.

But it’s always a fun picture to take.

BWVR Friendlys

When we went to the Boston Wounded Vet Run this year, some members of another group met us at Friendly's so we could ride to Boston with them.

When we pulled in it was like having our own reception committee.

We’re such a nice fit for each other as friends.  Their group is devoted to the same mission as my group is.  We support our veterans.

Cooper knows his people.   He’s happy to see them whenever we get together.

Boston Strong

At the Boston Wounded Vet’s Run this month we got a picture taken with Carlos Arrendondo, the cowboy hero from the Boston Marathon bombing.  He’s everywhere we go.

I love this picture, though I wish Carlos wasn’t in the shade.  Cooper isn’t really that interested in posing in front of the flag.  I think he would have liked it better if he could feel like he was posing with us.

Another Dog Helping With Flags

When we were placing the flags in Mansfield, there was another ‘Cooper Sized’ dog there.

They liked sniffing and visiting.

They were fairly calm, which is good for Cooper.

He’s not the best socialized dog when it comes to other dogs.

He’s better with people.

Placing Flags in Mansfield

We went to Mansfield to volunteer to help put 250 flags up for the Memorial Day Parade.

We flew flags from our bikes as we rode there.

And we worked together with other bikers, boy scouts, girl scouts and other volunteers.

It’s such an honor to place flags to remember our veterans.

We played the Star Spangled Banner from one of the bikes when we were all done.

Everyone stopped to salute the flags.

We took some group pictures too.

My favorite was the one with the Boy Scouts.

Blue But No Cut

Letting the color set

Love how this came out.  Shaking after his bath.
We had a good ride but it was still too cold for Cooper to have a hair cut.

I wanted him to be blue for this event, so I did his blue doo but left all the rest of his hair long.

NEXT blue doo will be accented by a beautifully clean looking short body cut.

Wilmington Bike Show - Classic Bike

I’ve seen this bike at other bike shows.  It always wins awards.

Take a good look at the bike.  It’s rusty, dented, scratched and really REALLY dirty.

The owner of this bike had so many good stories about it.

When I asked him if I could post Cooper on the bike, he made it clear that he didn’t want any of the dirt to be wiped away so I had to keep him ONLY on the seat.

We did our best.

Wilmington Bike Show - Another Service Dog

Cooper wasn’t sure if he liked this big girl.

He didn’t trust her when she got closer.

It was really difficult to get their picture but I tried.

Until he was willing to pose for one picture.  Only one.
