Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Plymouth Parade '16 - Pictures From Friends

I had a few friends who took pictures at the parade.

They all tagged me in the pictures on FB.

Cooper was very visible in some of them.

He loves parades.

He thinks they are just for him.

He usually barks a lot but he only barked for about 10 minutes this year.

I hope he never gets bored with being in parades.

People love to see him and now expect to see him in Plymouth every July 4th.

Plymouth Parade '16 - Flying Flags

When we do parades we love to proudly fly our American flags.

You can't see Cooper but in this picture I'm getting him ready to go.

Cooper is used to it so the flags don’t bother him at all.

I wish he could understand our impact on the patriotic Americans who stand on the side of the road and solute our flags as we ride by.

I’m filled with pride and love for this country where I have the freedom to ride my motorcycle with my blue haired dog.

Plymouth Parade '16 - Pre Parade Shade

We were in the parade in Plymouth on Independence Day.  Before the parade, Cooper was allowed to hang out in the shade away from the bikes for a while.

He needs to do his best to stay out of the sun as much as he can.

Dogs don’t sweat so they can over heat more than people.  I make sure he NEVER gets stuck in the heat.

Just A Cute Face

Sometimes I just can’t help myself.

Cooper is just sitting around being absolutely adorable.

What is a girl to do but take pictures.

He doesn’t mind.

Huggin'

After Cooper’s most recent color, he got to snuggle with his buddy Alex.

This is one of his favorite places to snuggle.  Comfie and secure.

This is a very safe and happy place for Cooper.

Broke Down

Coming home from a long day on the bikes.  We stopped to get gas and when I went to start my bike again there was NOTHING!

So we pushed my bike away from the pumps to see about getting it started again.  Cooper hung out with our friend while we worked out the problem so we could go home.

Me, Cooper and Angie

We went to Plymouth with our friend Angie to have Dinner and walk around.

We always like the Plymouth Waterfront.  There are a lot of people there, and usually a great breeze no matter how hot a day it is.

We like to go to the water sometimes too.  Cooper likes the smells no matter where we are.

Angie's Dogs

We went to pick up Angie so we could go for a ride and out to dinner.

Angie has 2 little dogs,

Romeo and Juliette.

They are full of energy.

So much so that I could hardly get them in a picture that wasn’t blurry.

Well… you get the idea.

Back To Splat 3 - Dunks

Here he is.  All colored, showered and dry. This is the true color that will take at least 2 months to fade enough to need to color it again.

Never again will I change from using Splat.  This stuff is really great stuff.

Back To Splat 2 - All Showered

This is how much color remains after a shower when I use splat.

You can look back a few days to see what was left after a shower when I used Manic Panic.    MUCH BETTER!!!

Back To Splat 1 - Sapphire

So if you looked at the last few blog posts, you see that I tried Manic Panic on Cooper’s hair.

It wasn’t the bold color I’m used to getting from Splat and it had faded to almost white again within a week.

So we went back to Splat… the only problem now is that I usually get a very BLUE blue color, but I somehow grabbed Sapphire.  Oh well.  It’s better than Manic Panic.

Hanging Out At Plymouth Waterfront

We went for a walk at the Plymouth water front.  I’m posting this for two reasons.  One, so you can see the Plymouth waterfront.  You can actually see the staffs from the Mayflower in the upper right corner of the picture.

Two… this is the color that was left in Cooper’s hair in only one week.  I won’t use Manic Panic any more.  Splat stays in various shades of fade, but decent color for almost 3 months.

Color Time 3 - Manic Panic - Too Light

This is Manic Panic the next day.

Way too light!  This will never do.  Back to using Splat.

Color Time 2 - Manic Panic - After A Shower

After Cooper’s color I gave him a shower.

This color is way lighter than I expected.  I used a different brand of color.

I think I’m going back to the old kind.  This will never do.

Color Time 1 - Manic Panic - Looks Good!

Time to color Cooper’s doo.

He is so good about laying there and letting me give him about 30 minutes of undivided attention.

Who would object???

Rolling Thunder - Group Shots

At the end point of the ride, I got to be in a group shot of the group.

Rolling Thunder MA Chapter 2 calls me and Cooper “Honorary Members”.

I don’t know about Cooper but I think that is quite an honor.

And then there is this picture… This is a group shot of MA Chapters 1 and 2.

Rolling Thunder - Ladies With Laps

Cooper knows how to work the ladies.

He stood at their feet and looked at me.  They were trying to get him to look at them but he wouldn’t, so they asked me what he wants.

I said, “Your lap”.  :)  He was asking me if he could get up on their laps.  SO funny.

Rolling Thunder - Becoming Known For Our Common Mission

Riding and doing benefit rides are so social for us.  We always have someone to talk to.

Most of the time we talk about Cooper and his achievements.

But frequently I get to change the focus from Cooper to the mission we ride for as Patriot Riders.

Cooper is becoming a well known personality at all the veteran’s rides.

Everyone who knows us knows our mission is to help our veterans which is the same as Rolling Thunder.  They are a perfect fit for us.
