Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

My Love

We’re caught doing this quite often.

I wonder if I would be able to nap without his help.

He’s so soothing to me.

Even when I’m cuddling with his butt!

Dr. Michelle

Michelle studies and practices chinese medescine.

Cooper has needed some extra specialized care lately.

His belly isn’t in great shape and she has helped with some of her herbal remedies.

He’s been able to maintain his weight and health with her help.

And you can see their wonderful friendship too.  He Loves her!

Birthday Shopping - 2

He also got a blanket that I kind of picked out for him because it has a bunch of pictures on it, and one of the pictures is Sergeant Stripes.  His nickname is Sarge with one of our friends.

So then we went on to the pet section.

He walked the area where they have dog threats and bones.

He smelled them all and moved on.

I watched to see if he showed any real interest in any of them.

He didn’t till he got almost to the end, and then...

He picked out the perfect one.

So we bought it and went home to show everyone and set up a good place for his new bed.

It turned out to be such a perfect ending to his birthday.  I’m happy with what he got too.

Great time.  He loves his new stuff.

Birthday Shopping - 1

So… on October 19th I had to interrupt an 8 part story about splitting wood to wish Cooper a Happy Birthday.

Now I’m going back to Cooper’s birthday story.

I hadn’t bought anything for him for his birthday yet, and I had a tough day so I didn’t stop on my way home to get him anything.

I hated what that felt like, so Cooper and I went to the store and he picked out his own birthday presents.

A bed and a Cheshire Cat squeeky toy.  I’ll show you the rest tomorrow.

Part 7 - Saw Dust Bed

The wood cutting day was a 9 hour day.

Cooper was out there with us for the whole time.

He had to stay on the porch some of the time.

And he had to stay in the truck some of the time.

But part of the time he was allowed in the area where wood had been cut earlier in the day.

Cooper was exhausted and was really happy for the soft cool saw dust to lay on.

It wasn’t long before he was taking a much needed nap.

Part 6 - Back Of The Truck Video

On our way back to get another load of wood, we rode in the back of the truck.

Cooper loved it as he does most things as you can tell by the constant BARKING!!!

Part 5 - Chucking Wood

Once there was room in the back of the truck we let Cooper back there to ‘help’.

He LOVES being in the mix.

He was so cute walking from edge to edge of the truck barking orders like he was the supervisor.

Someone’s gotta do it I guess.

Part 4 - Waiting In The Truck

When we were loading wood on the truck I had Cooper stay in the truck so he would be out of the way.

It would be just like him to climb the piles or get in the way while we were throwing the wood onto the truck… Or off the truck when we got to the pile in the pack yard.

Each piece of wood can way as much as he does, so it could do some real damage to the little guy.

He didn’t mind sitting in the truck.

Part 3 - Unsplit Wood Pile

Yesterday I broke into our tree cutting story to wish Cooper a Happy Birthday.  Here's more about the stories that started on the 17th and 18th.

After the scary tree guys took the trees down Cooper got to climb on the wood.

One of Cooper’s favorite things to do is climb.

And Climb he did!

Today Is Cooper's 11th Birthday

Today is Cooper’s 11th birthday!  It’s hard to believe.

There have been so many memories and even more than I’ve forgotten.

I look back on this blog and though it’s not all in chronological order, it’s just like a diary or journal for me.

I wonder what he remembers and what he thinks of the life he has lead so far.

I do my best to keep him healthy and happy.

I love him with everything in me.

He’s my boy, my partner in this life, my canine soul mate, my kid.

What ever you want to consider him to be… I call him my hero.

Happy Birthday My Love!!!
