A Favorite Picture

On occasion Cooper and I stop for an ice cream down the street from our house.  He was so cute hanging out of the car waiting for me to come back with his ice cream.

It was tricky but I was able to frame his fuzzy face in between his ice cream and mine.  Look how happy he is.

Wants Me To Take Him Out

How funny is it that Cooper will bring me my shoes or his leash if he wants me to bring him out.

Boredom must compel him to reason things out and give me hints like this when he has something to say.

Short Hair

Every now and then I take Cooper's mop top off.

He looks cute even without it, but...

Potty Stop

Public bathrooms are a special treat for Cooper.  Especially if I give him some length to his leash.

He will visit the other stalls on either side or make his way under the door to visit people out there.

All Wrapped Up

Sometimes he just does this.  I don't know what he gets out of it.  He just gets himself all wrapped up under the blankets.  Look how long it took me to find him.

Here We Go Again!

Any time we go somewhere and Walt is there...

Cooper will scramble to get to him.

I don't mean frantically because he knows better than to behave that way.

But politely and relentlessly he makes his wish known...

that he needs to go see his buddy.

Exhausted!

By mid week I'm DONE!  EXHAUSTED!  Cooper is always willing to nap with me, but usually we're in my bed and he kind of spoons with me.

This time I curled up on the love seat.  There was hardly enough room for me, never mind Cooper too.  But he got in there and we napped.  Excellent!

Smart Car Repair - Lunch

And then there was lunch...

Cooper has to eat every 6 hours, so where ever we are... he eats.

How cute was he just enjoying his lunch.

Smart Car Repair - Seat's Not Big Enough For Two

If you read yesterday's blog you'll see how far away he had to sit to have his own chair.

He wanted to sit with me while I worked on my computer but the seats weren't wide enough for him to get in there.

To lay across my lap I would have had to put the computer on him in order to continue.  Not a favorite thing... Dilemma!

Smart Car Repair - Comfie Seats

I had to get my car fixed, so we waited while it was being done.

They have a really comfortable waiting area with a TV and vending machines and wifi.

I brought my computer to work on things.

Cooper enjoyed people watching and smelling the air.

He was well behaved as always, but really wanted to sit with me.

Bella The Motorcycle Dog - 2

This man's name is David.  He came to Bike Night. 

He's very interested in trying to get a picture of these two.

He sure tried his best to get a good picture.

They have other plans.

They don't make it easy to get a good picture.

We love bike night!  We get to meet new people every week.

Sometimes we get a great surprise for Cooper.  This time there was a fellow biker dog. 

Her name is Bella and she rides a Harley trike with her Mom.

Cooper didn't notice her at first while she was still on her bike.  It wasn't until she was getting undressed from her riding gear that he noticed her.

I know we'll see her again. We live fairly close to each other.

Getting Peir Fries at Old Orchard Beach

We took a trip on the motorcycle to Maine for the weekend, as we do every year.

Not much is open this early in the spring at Old Orchard Beach.

But it was a beautiful day to walk around and stop for some pier fries and chicken nuggets.  Cooper ate his fill of both.

Power Outage 3 - Video

Cooper even managed  to play in the dark by the light of his collar flash light.

He's so adaptable to any conditions.

He hardly skips a beat.

Power Outage 2 - Dinner

Having to manage via flashlight is NO PROBLEM for Cooper.

He can even manage to eat his dinner by the light of his collar light.

We had a series of Nor-easters that came through Massachusetts this spring.

We lost power for a while, so we had to go into 'survival mode'.

Cooper is EXCELLENT at this skill.

He wears a flashlight around his neck and gets around perfectly!

Neighborhood News

This is the most popular tree in front of the house where I work taking care of my friend Andy.

All the other dogs that walk buy leave their message for Cooper to 'read'.

He sniffs around the entire tree over an over if I let him.

I can't imagine why it's so interesting... 

...but it certainly is to Cooper.

So interesting that he leaves messages for the other dogs.

Their own form of communication that we can't even begin to really understand.
