Been Waiting For This Hair Cut

Cooper's hair is uncomfortable for him when it gets long.

He doesn't like to be brushed so I leave him alone until he needs a hair cut.

This year we wanted to do the Frosty Nuts run on January 1st.

Not knowing how cold it would be, I left his hair long to help keep him warm.

The next day... HAIR CUT!!! and now Cooper seems to be able to move way better than when it's long.

January 1 2019 - Part 4 - News Paper Article

This is the best copy I could get by screen shot.  It was an on line entry of the news paper that covered the Frosty Nuts run.

I heard the final count was something like 430 bikes were counted.  This was the biggest turn out in years because of the warm weather.



 

January 1 2019 - Part 3 - Video Of Us On The Bike

The good thing of having a friend riding behind us on their bike is that the passenger can sometimes get video of Cooper on my bike with me.

There is only so much a person can describe in words or pictures... then video takes over.

January 1 2019 - Part 2 - In The News Paper Again

The local news paper was there as it is most of the time.

Cooper and I were in the crowd as you can see, surrounded by a few friends.

They also got a cute shot of his face in the upper right corner.  I carry him so he won't get stepped on in a crowd like this.

And I love it when they get us on the bike in the actual run.  You can kind of see Cooper's head on the left over my shoulder.

January 1 2019 - Part 1 - Frosty Nuts Run

Every year a there is a run on January 1st.

They call it the "Frosty Nuts Run"

This year it was 60º.

Six of us from our group went this year.

Cooper seems to have missed our riding days.

He's so in his element when we're in the biker community.

Precious The Cat 7 - Formal Introduction

Finally we were able to get close enough without making them both nervous.

Precious' Daddy is Chuck.

He helped them get a little more trusting.

They got closer and closer...

More curious...

We ran out of time, but it was really fun to watch them become closer.  

Maybe we'll do this again soon.

Precious The Cat 6 - Not So Bad

Cooper is beginning to trust Precious not to rip his face off.

They are both calm and could become friends if they spent more time together.

Precious The Cat 5 - Sneaking

Cooper thinks it's safer to sneak up behind Precious.

I don't think Cooper realizes it doesn't matter which end he sniffs.

A cat can turn so fast he would get his nose slapped before he could blink.

IF Precious wanted to teach him a lesson, 

he could do it no matter how sneaky Cooper thinks he's being.

Precious is a cool cat... I actually dare to say "Calm, Cool and Collected".

Precious The Cat 4 - Is It Safe Mama?

Cooper looks to me for reassurance.

He's eager to go over and sniff, but he's not sure if the cat will allow it.

This cat hasn't given Cooper any reason to think he'll get upset, so he's edging closer and closer.

I keep telling him he can go closer, but he's not sure yet.

Precious The Cat 3 - Safe Distance

Cooper has always been leery of cats.

Even so, he began to get a little more brave as the minutes ticked away.

It's really good he has a healthy combination of being curious and playful.

He really wants to make friends with everyone.

Precious The Cat 2 - Peaking

Cooper watched this cool cat from a distance.

He seemed to think there was no need to get too close... yet.

Precious The Cat 1 - In The Comfort Of A Friend

Cooper met my friend's cat.  

Though he wasn't really sure how he felt about it.  

He stayed across the room for a little while with his trusted friend.  

He couldn't get to me because I was on the other side of the cat.

In yesterday's post Cooper wanted something.

Well he got his way.

As he usually does.

Our RV - Part 4 - Wants To Come Up

I got up on the bed over the cab of the RV and teased Cooper a little bit.

He wasn't really a fan of me being way up there while he couldn't figure out of to get up there with me.

He danced around and barked for a while.

He did about all he could think of to make me understand that he wanted to get up there with me.
