Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Vintage Bike Show - Here They Come

Here's a video of the very beginning of the show.  These are mostly vintage bikes rolling in.

You can't see Cooper in this video but I can tell you, he was on his feet, wagging his tail and watching the bikes arrive.

Vintage Bike Show - Cooper's Post

Every year we host a Vintage Bike Show where thousands of people come to see the old bikes we have entered and on display.

sleeping till people begin to arrive
It's free to walk around and there is food available to buy.  Cooper stays at his Post to greet people as they walk by.

With A Cracker - Video

We were hanging out in the RV one day...  just hanging out.

I gave Cooper a cracker.  He's so funny sometimes.  He'd rather save it than eat it.

All The Pretty Girls

Sometimes there are girls walking around at an event to pass things out.

Those girls ALWAYS fall in love with Cooper.

Usually people don't hold Cooper because he's really not a fan unless he trusts you.

But he seemed JUST FINE here.

Cooper Loves Salad - Video

A lot of dogs eat grass because they don't feel well.

Cooper eats it because he likes it.  I call it eating 'Salad'.

Chicken BBQ - Sitting With Friends

Some of my friends from work came to the event.

They don't know my biker friends, but they do know each other.

Cooper doesn't see them often so he sat with them during the meal.

It's important to me that he have fun because there are so many rules for him to follow.  He seemed to have a great time!

Chicken BBQ - Staying Out Of The Way

There was a lot of hard work going on with cooking and setting up all the things we had to take care of.

If I had Cooper on the ground he would have been all over the place sniffing the ground and wandering off.

Putting him on the bench, he won't get down unless he's allowed by me, so I don't really have to watch him.

He actually makes a great greeter as people walk by him.  And he LOVES that job!

Chicken BBQ - Setting Up Video

Cooper loves riding on anything he can get near enough to get on.  Even this!

Chicken BBQ - Setting Up

Cooper is a self proclaimed supervisor at the events we host with my motorcycle group.

He gets right in there to make sure all is done the right way.

Giving direction...

He's a real cheer leader to the guys.

A real hard worker!

Patriotic Volunteering

Twice a year we place flags at Bourne National Cemetery,

and pick them up a week later.

It takes about two hours to put them down and about an hour to pick them up.

It's a breath taking sight when it's done.  This is how we like to honor our veterans who are buried here.

Chest Rubs Are His Favorite

Cooper would lay on his back to get his chest rubbed no matter where he was or what he was doing.

Even going on a long car trip.

Sleeping On The Pillow

When Cooper was a puppy, this was his favorite way to sleep.

Right ON the pillow.

Patriot

This is a great cover photo.  I may use it some day for a book if I ever get around to writing one.

Still In Training

When I traveled with Cooper while he was still in training, I had a travel crate for him.

He loved his crate.  It was where he could finally settle down and go to sleep no matter where he was.

Puppy Eyes

This picture speaks to my heart.

Look at that little one year old trusting face just loving his chest rub.

ZOOM!!!

ZOOM!!!!

This 4 or 5 years ago. Someone was able to get a good clear action shot.  Cooper is such a great rider!

This was 2012

I know this isn't a great picture but it's precious to me.  I actually think the fact that it's blurry makes it that much better.

It was our first Christmas in our antique home.  I think when I was outside the window with 5 year old Cooper looking out at me, it felt like a nostalgic Norman Rockwell moment to me.

Toyota Pick Up

I used to have a little Toyota pick up truck with a cap on the back.  We took that truck on a trip when Cooper was about 2 or 3 years old.  Cooper was so good about riding in that truck.  He would lay up on the seat like a cat and watch where we were headed.

I had all the things we needed for the trip in the back of the truck, including toys for Cooper.

At one point during the trip Cooper got restless so I let him through he window into the back of the truck so he could walk around a little bit.  He found a bag of toys and played for a while.
Look how happy he is after some time with his favorite toys.

Biker Puppy

I used to think dressing Cooper up when he was a puppy would be fun.

He would pose for a picture in this hat for me, then shake his head.
He has NEVER liked to be dressed up.

I Tried

With safety in mind, I found a helmet and goggles for Cooper to wear while riding.

You can probably tell by the look on his face that he's really not a fan.  Every time I put them on him, he would fight to get them off as soon as I turned by back.
He ALWAYS won...

Very Old Picture

If I remember correctly... I was looking for something under my bed, and I looked up to see this...

Judging by the hair do... I think Cooper was about four years old.

Cooper In Front

It's a rare occasion when Cooper sits in front of me when we're riding.

If I have a passenger on the back, Cooper sits in front.  Call me crazy, but I think if I were Cooper I would like the front too.

WWII Museum - Our Group

This is the group of us who went to the museum.  It was such an educational day.

There were so many things to see I'd love to go back some day.

WWII Museum - Bike

I think this tiny motorcycle was small in order to be portable.

I really can't remember the information that was given about it.

It's very Cooper sized, but was not a child's bike.

WWII Museum - Victory Napkins

So I was looking at these napkins and noticed Cooper was looking up at me.

I'm really not that sorry I got better pictures of Cooper than the napkins.

WWII Museum - Uniforms

I know I'm supposed to show you the WWII uniforms... But after you check out the uniforms, look how CUTE Cooper's face is in all these pictures!

WWII Museum - So Many Relics

This museum was an amazing collection of relics from WWII.

As you walk through, you have a hand held recorded device that looked like a walkie talkie.  You punch in the number of the items you want to know about and it recites the history of the items on display.

I think you would have to spend an entire day in this museum in order to see everything.

It's not a big place but it's packed full of so much history to see.

Cooper has no idea of the history he gets to see when we do things like this.  He's just happy to be with his people.
