After a few minutes he was getting tired of his hair being up.

He did end up shaking his head.

Messy hair is inevitable.

Cooper has learned to tolerate a lot.

He doesn't seem to care any more.

He let my friend put his hair up in hair clips without shaking his head.

Usually one shake and the clips go flying.

Not this time.

The Honor Of Another Escort

We sometimes have the honor of escorting the remains of an American veteran to his final resting place.

Cooper has done this a few times.

Amazingly he acts completely appropriately at this time.  No barking, no attention seeking, just well mannered and well behaved.

As if he knows.

The Good Camera

I got the good camera out to take pictures of my grandchildren.

When I get going I really enjoy taking nice pictures.

Cooper wasn't doing anything special and I didn't ask him to pose.

I just love him in his natural way.

Even In The Hospital

Where ever Cooper is, he can find a comfortable place to be as well behaved as we all know he is.

If he can't get on a bed or a chair or a couch, he will lay on the floor on my sweat shirt if that's all there is.

In the hospital there is no problem finding a place. That's why I make sure he's clean so as not to leave a lot of foot prints on the bedding.

Cook Out And Movie

We invited a few friends over to have a cookout and watch a movie in the back yard.

Cooper has been taking space from people he prefers not to be with.  Notice he's right there, comfortable and sleeping.  No need to find a quiet place to go when these folks are near by.

Brushing Isn't So Bad

I find that Cooper likes when I use the brush better than when I use the comb and go slow.

I thought it pulled too much so I would go really slow and work out each snarl with a comb I have for him.

He gets tight snarls, dreads, on his head.

When they get so close to his head that there is no room between the snarl and his skin.

When people pet him, it hurts because it pulls his hair.

Brushing isn't his favorite, but I'll use this brush over the comb all the time now.

My 55th Birthday Dinner

We went to my mom's nursing home for my birthday dinner because she couldn't go out in the heat.

We brought her favorite dinner.

Lobster and steamers.

We took group pictures, which Cooper is no stranger to.

I didn't even have to make sure he stayed in place for the pictures.

I'm so glad he was so agreeable to this.

Precious memory for me because my mom passed less than a month later.

Cooper's Friend Ibbie

Cooper and Ibbie have become friends.

Ibbie is so calm she doesn't stress Cooper out.

A lot of small dogs make him nervous because they move too fast around him.

Ibbie and Cooper are about the same age so both have slowed down a bit.

It's nice that they go about their own business while also being social with each other.

Cooper doesn't mind when people do this to him, 

But it's not long before he shakes his head and resumes his old look.

Drive Through Bank Camera

Cooper likes the drive through at the bank.

He waits for a cookie to come back in the container that you send the money in.

He won't eat the cookie... he just likes to get one.

I wonder if they watch the recordings from the camera.

I'd love to see some of the video of other people who go through with their dogs.

Cooper Loves To Relax

Cooper's favorite past time.

Cooper will lay and just look cute for me for hours..

Actually, he doesn't feel much like doing much  else.
