We were given a free picnic table.
When we went to pick it up, there was a neighborhood dog that came to say hello.
At first we didn't trust the dog much because his body language seemed to say, "Hey! Who are you?"
After a little strategic placement of my body between Cooper and this dog, and some gentle nudging of the dog, I let him know Cooper is mine.
When he was less concerned, I allowed them to meet.
And this is a nice, calm, successful greeting. I'm glad it went this way.
