Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Christmas Party with Rex - Part 1

We attended a wonderful Christmas party at our friends Bob and Becca's house.  They have a beautiful home with a lot of room for their cat Rex to "Rule The Roost".  Rex is a beautiful black Maine Coon mix with a fantastic disposition.

Rex was a little concerned with the idea of sharing his space with Cooper.  They spent much of the beginning of the evening just studying each other.  Cooper likes cats, but mostly for chasing.  I don't allow him to chase cats when I'm near by, so he was on best behavior.  Rex doesn't know much about dogs, so he probably didn't know what to expect and seemed ready for an upset of any kind.

Cooper had to spend quite a bit of time earning Rex's trust.  He laid still, allowing Rex to assess the situation in the way cats do.

They spent plenty of time near each other because Rex seemed to be interested in coming back to look at Cooper and inch his way closer and closer while I told Cooper to stay.  He did as he was told like the good boy he always is.  He was a bit bored in that he was confined to out of the way places where the cat could feel safe.

To be continued...
