Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Not Happy In The Car

I finally got video of Cooper in the car.  The car is the worst thing for Cooper.  He's brave, obedient and happy in most other situations, but in the car he's a mess.  He wasn't TOO bad on this day, but this video will give you an idea of how he whines and cries while we're driving.

He gets worse if I put on my blinker, slow down, stop or get into congested buildings and shopping plazas.  I drive 12 minutes to go to work with Andy.  Cooper cries the entire way.  If I allow him to get wound up he will spiral into a panic.  At this point he paces from window to window, yips, cries, jumps in back and then back to front, gets on the floor, all the while he'll be an emotional mess.  I do what I can to keep him from getting that bad.  that level of emotion isn't good for him and it makes me crazy to have that kind of traveling conditions for the whole ride there and back.

So far, other than the thunder shirt, I haven't found anything else to help.  I think I need the advice of Cesar Millan.  I really wish I could get first hand personal advice from him.  I know there is a solution for Cooper... I just can't figure out what it is.
