Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

July 17 - Lets Go For A Walk

We decided to go for a walk today around the area of the motel we're staying in.  There really isn't anything to see, but we needed to get out for a while.  We went to the bikes so I could get my sandals.  Cooper was so funny.  He looked at my bike as though he was ready to get on.  My bike was covered but he didn't seem to care.  He looked as though he was glad to see it.  I pulled the cover away a little bit and he jumped up with a happy look on his face.  He was so funny.

When we convinced him that we weren't going anywhere on the bikes, he jumped down and participated happily in our leisure walk.   We went around a little field and out to the street.  Cooper sniffed everything he could get his nose interested in.  We allowed him time to do what he wanted.  He's been really good in the motel room and I know he's been really bored.

I enjoyed taking pictures of flowers.  The colors splashed all over the place where there seem to be no reason for a flower to grow.  Mostly there was dry, overgrown hay and prickly bushes with burrs everywhere that I constantly have to pick out of Cooper's hair.  The flowers were vibrant colors and very pretty in their surroundings even if they were growing out of a crack in the pavement on the sidewalk.

Of course I had to make Cooper pose when we saw something we wanted his picture with.  We found these little Cooper sized palm trees that we had to take his picture with.  He didn't really care about the picture.  All he wanted to do with those cute little Cooper sized palm trees was pee on them.  Every one of them.  By the end of our walk he drank a LOT.  No wonder why... he emptied his tank on all the things he lifted his leg to.  If you ask me, I think he needed a drink half way through our walk.
