Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

June 28 - Part 1 - A Day of BIke Repairs

We left Becky's to get bike repairs done.  It was WONDERFUL to have met Becky.  She is where this all began.  (Thanks Becky!)

We spent the whole day at a Jarman's bike repair place, the laundromat and out to lunch while work was being done on the bike.  Cooper was a hit as usual.  We met some wonderful folks at Jarman's Sport Cycle repair. We socialized with Sue and a few others who were interested in Cooper.  I passed out cards to everyone and told his stories.

It was really hot out so walking to the laundry mat and to lunch wasn't really an option.  I have to be mindful of Cooper's feet on the pavement and we had too much to carry to carry him too.  Not having a bus that was close by, our options were kind of limited.  Sue offered her car to us to go do what we needed to do.  I WAS SHOCKED!!!  What a wonderful gesture.  It was just what we needed!  I have to publicly thank Sue again for her generosity. THANK YOU SUE!!!

Cooper was glad to ride in Sue's air conditioned car in the 90+ degree weather.  We did our errands and went back to the shop where Sue gave Cooper water and we traded a doo-rag for Jesse for a 'Friends of Cooper' patch.

Cooper and his new friend Sue from
Jarman's in Charlottesville, Virginia
Vinnie  was AMAZINGLY dedicated to helping us too. He worked his butt off to get the work done fast, and CHEAP!  A special thanks to Vinnie too.  A very knowledgeable and capable mechanic.
