Check out the Blog Archives to read about our cross country motorcycle road trip from MA to CA in the summer of 2011. During that trip we attended the Annual 2011 National Women On Wheels® Ride-In in San Jose CA. Then we just rode. We traveled over 11,000 motorcycle miles in what ever direction we wanted to go for 61 days. We visited friends and family, saw the country, met some amazing people. We made memories we'll never forget. These memories are what THIS BLOG is made of! That was only the beginning. We've been traveling and riding and blogging every since then. Enjoy our stories while we make MORE memories worthy of posting here for your enjoyment.

Mainely Angels Annual BBQ (Saturday)

Cooper wasn't feeling well at all today.  He refused to eat his breakfast.  He wouldn't drink, and he moped around a bit all day.  The BBQ that we attended was to start in the afternoon.  Lisa and another WOW member, who's name was Paula, went to meet some Massachusetts Women On Wheels (North Shore Chapter) members on their motorcycle to lead them back to the BBQ.  There were plenty of women who rode their motorcycles.  Cooper and I stayed at Lisa's until about noon, then went to meet Kim so she could lead us to the BBQ too.

We got to know a lot of Women On Wheels members.  Everyone loved Cooper.  Some remembered him from the ride-in.  The BBQ was at Sandy's house, a log cabin that was PERFECT for such an event.  She was a great hostess.  She made burgers, dogs and chicken wings.  Everything tasted great.  Everyone brought something to share.  What a great day.  It rained a little but not so bad that the day was a wash-out.

Cooper had no appetite.  At the BBQ he wasn't even very interested in a piece of my cheese burger that I gave him outside.  I took him for a little walk, then came back in.  He was glad just to lay back down and go to sleep.  I still wasn't able to get him to drink anything.

We followed Lisa and Paula who were on their motorcycles back to Lisa's house.  Cooper seemed very interested in seeing and hearing the motorcycles.  He became alert and watched as we followed the 2 bikes in front of us and more behind us.

When we got back, Buffy was happy to see us.  It was time for them to have dinner.  We tried to give Cooper some egg.  He didn't really want it but he did nibble at it a little.  We also gave him chicken broth to try to get him to drink.  Again, he drank only a little.  The dogs played for a little while.  It was nice to see Cooper be so interested in play time.  They were very cute together.

We stayed up late.  Cooper stayed on the couch sleeping the whole time we ate pizza and talked.  He was content to be left alone.  We had taken the dogs for a walk around the block as we had the night before.  He acted normal and didn't seem sick but when we got home he still didn't eat.

When we went to bed I left the egg and some of his food  mixed together in a dish on the floor in our room along with the rest of the chicken broth in another bowl.  When I got up in the morning he had eaten the egg but left most of the dog food.  I didn't care.  I was just glad he ate.  He didn't drink the broth though.

Over all he had a good day.  He was just very quiet, but willing to see people and be social.  He was a good boy as usual.  I wished he had been feeling better.  I wonder what made him not feel very well.  I wonder if he missed Jesse or was he really sick.
